Ayy, this looks like Kelly Tarltons! When I went last the penguins were having rock wars. This is where the naughty/nice penguin list is.

I don't see how it's any different to doing a national anthem, which is usually sung before sporting events. Unification of team and nation
And unity in the nation and culture. It also hypes them up for the game. Haka's are done at a lot of non sport events, not just for show.

Taken away from its mum and is raised on the mothers milk. Usually much better quality too. Before being vegan I ate primarily home kill 2/2
You could probably get meat from markets or small scale farmers that treat the animals much nicer. Especially farms where the calf isn't 1/2
