7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

What are the odds that you can still buy one of these

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Best part. You could buy them from a catalogue for $500

Allied Wrench*

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

First thing I thought of was Radar, mailing home a jeep one part at a time, on MASH.

7 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Actually, it was Rizzo who sent home a jeep home one piece at a time

IKEA's really branching out!

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

honestly, any company that could get the rights to sell them as pure offroad vehicles could make bank selling them as kits like this.

They also packaged airplanes. P38s, I think. They could be assembled without cranes.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I learned that fun fact here on Imgur.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

How many box tops did you send in?

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Box o' car

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Also means that’s all you’d need to disassemble.. just a thought tho

Radar Oriley

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

My dad said they could be built in 4 hours with 3 guys who didn't know what they were doing and it only used 2 wrenches in the box

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This sure does give me the Willys.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Do you wanna build a war jeep?

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Come out the door and die

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I AM RELEVANT!!!

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Amazon prime shipping on this?

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

hate to bring it to you all but its completely fake

7 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

It's real. Sorry I forget the man's name that did it. He restord the entire jeep and built the box for it. I have seen it at military events

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

It being IKEA is fake, but the 'Jeep in a box' thing was real. That's how they were shipped overseas.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Can you imagine if they taught kids to build cars in highschool and then entire course was spent putting it together

7 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

took a mechanics class in highschool, we worked in pairs me n my friend took apart a lawn mower for class & found parts that had 2b replaced

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

the rest of the class couldent figure out how to take one apart, me n my friend both got a certificate thing from the teacher. at the end

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

@op what in the unholy fuck. I just got done downloading a bunch of old pics my grandma sent me and was going to post. These were amongst it

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I’ll tag you in it. From one Jeep lover to another.

Am Swedish. Took me longer than I'd like to admit before I understood the title reference.

7 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

Well i hope it was appreciated

7 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

After 5 minutes of confusion, yes it was.

7 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Lol

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Can't help thinking that would take up exactly the same amount of packing space if it already had the wheels etc bolted on & be good-to-go.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That's because you can't see that the axles are resting on the bottom of the crate frame, adding half a wheel's height when fully assembled.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Ah, derp. Off-roader ride height, of course. I mis-viewed it as the frame actually resting on those build-outs in the corners.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yeah, the pics above it don't show it, but the actual packaging they'd sometimes be shipped in had boxes resting diagonally over the hubs.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Aha. So slightly more volumetrically efficient overall than mounting the wheels and putting the boxes on the seats instead...

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Someone needs to make these kits. I’d buy one in a heartbeat. It could be an off-road use only deal to avoid modern safety laws.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

"Blue Engine" ;)

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

There is some one making one. It looks just like a willies but it’s for off road only.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Mahindra makes them, off-road only. I think they're called Roxor in the US.

7 years ago | Likes 39 Dislikes 1

Wow this is really cool. Thanks!

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

After looking these over I need to figure out what toys I am going to sell. One of these with a 4bt Cummins would be amazing.

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I saw those at an outdoor show recently. They had way more features than the side-by-side next to it and it was about 30% less expensive.

7 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 1

.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The side by sides are way over hyped. So expensive for what they are.

7 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Definitely. I want to get “MY SXS” for plates on my old Toyota pickup. It has heat and a full cab!

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

I’ve been looking at those Japanese mini trucks with tracks

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Kaiser Willys has them

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I thought Kaiser had almost everything except for frames?

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I thought they had frame kits, I could be wrong though

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Nope, your right! you'd just have to weld it up yourself. They really do have everything!

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I went to their store in SC, they had just just warehouses full of parts.
