I think most of them get paid on scam commission. So a long call with no successful scam is a waste of their time.
This is the first time I've heard of this idea. Ive known multiple people who have had the mormon missionaries over on a weekly basis for 4+ years before joining or breaking it off. I don't think being nice will get you blacklisted.
