Seeing as my local McDonald's has "great competitive wages" they thought they would adjust the benefits accordingly.

They were apparently worried their employees were getting it too good..

Covered up with white tape is

"Tuition Assistance"

"Paid Time Off"

But hey, at least you get the "benefits" of discounted shitty meals. And to know that other McDonald's have it just a little better than you..

Nobody better bite on that child slavery shit.... what the f is wrong with McDonald's

“Finish this sentence, ‘the ice cream machine is…’” “Broken?” “Welcome aboard”

1982. 3.25 an hour and a free meal at 3 hours, 2 for a full shift. Wasn't bad then.

4 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

2008. $5.75 an hour and one half-priced meal per full shift. It was kinda bad then tbh. But I moved on because I knew I could do better.

The neo conservative crowd loves cheap labour, that's why they hate abortions.Who will shovel our shit and fight our wars without poor peopl

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

They invented a tool for this in France 1792. Its made just for this kind of problems what USA is facing now

4 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 2

In america we'd have a gun at the top instead of a blade. "Gunitine"

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

But actually that was used very little, it is, after all, matter of the people and what they can do together when unified.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm mcfucking hating it.

It was actually a well-intended law. But, as expected, it was exploited and used to profit business & not support the kids it was meant for.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I love how we had to beg for $15/hr, and now that the power has shifted all of a sudden $15/hr is starting. Too late suckas! $25!

4 years ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 0

The other day, I saw an obvious McDonald's shill post on here. I guess this explains why.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

My uncle cpmplain why people are so angry about this. HE worked at 11 years old at his family shop! It gave him money and built character 1/

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I just simply responded "Yes, because child labor laws are the 1 thing ruining this country." 2/

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I see that they tried to cover up the "Tuition Assistance" and "Paid Time Off" on their recruitment sign.

4 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 4

America never got rid of any of its slaves.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

When the adolescents have zero self-control and a natural rebellious attitude *Pikachu face*

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Up next on the chopping block "Competitive Wages", followed by "Free or", then "Discounted".

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Can’t believe they are still working out the “labor shortage” its called paying people a LIVABLE WAGE. Forego your third yacht…

4 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

Na na na, we gotta pass that on to the consumer! I’ve got yacht payments to make! /s

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

lol they just whited that shit out. Oh man.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I don't trust those little pranksters with my burgers

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I wish the phone number wasn't blocked out. Wouldn't mind spamming the store lol

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It isn't blocked out. "Text Apply to 38000"

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I’m so glad I got away from that industry

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Younger workers are limited hours and duties to perform in comparison to older workers.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

15/hr? I'm just getting that after going through college for 5 years. I get paid time off though, so I guess that's nice...

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Did you block out the text, @OP? Because you forgot to do it on the bottom picture

4 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

I was also wondering why this was blacked out at all

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Now, let’s hunt down where this store is…

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I blocked out a specific store code, not just "apply".

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Is this the code?

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Lol.

Black slave labour, millions of illegal Hispanics exploited by slave wages, now poor peoples kids child labour, Land of the free labour.

4 years ago | Likes 166 Dislikes 7

I worked when I was 15 and my parents were middle-class. Those kids don't necessarily have to work

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

YOU didn't necessarily have to work

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Awww the American Dream lives on! If I work hard enough I can be rich too! /s

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's also legal to hire intellectually and/or developmentally challenged people and pay them LESS THAN MINIMUM WAGE.

4 years ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 0

So that explains why GOP politicians take so many bribes, they get paid less...

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Fucking disgusting.. As if it costs them less to live

4 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Typically costs more with medical expenses and care

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

They should have also turned Demarco's smile into a frown.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I mean.... I'm not at all surprised and I would almost rather this transparency than only post 12-15 but give them 12 anyway.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Still a piece of shit but at least the kids know what they are walking into rather than going through the process just to get the min anyway

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

How much would it be after taxes? I'm curious because $15/hour seemed like a big step forward, until I realized that that's before taxes :S

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Well the previous step was 7.25 so it's still a big step forward.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

God damn.. The more I learn/realize about America, the more like a shithole it seems.. The cost of "freedom" sure seems steep..

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Oh no, machines will take over! Nope, child labor is back on the menu.

4 years ago | Likes 60 Dislikes 1

Yeah didn’t everyone get worried like 5 years ago when McDs introduced the kiosks in stores? Guess they still need people.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Child labor may be coming back too. Which is nice...

4 years ago | Likes 430 Dislikes 5

Can't have a New Gilded Age without child labor

4 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 2

I got my first job at age 12 with parental consent. It's still and has always been legal here although there are rules

4 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 1

USA! USA! USA! Imagine if there could ever be a system where education was free. Sure would solve a lot of shit.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I've been working since I was 15, usually Saturdays and an evening or two. No biggie

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

We all own clothes made by kids and phones all have cobalt that kids mine breathing toxic dust. We are all bad.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Did you eat a lot of paint chips as a kid? What? No, but I did drink a lot of gasoline

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I prefer drinking Ruby Red from Benjamin Moore. I have a great sense of tumor.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Modern problems require free capitalist solutions!

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

And I just missed that train because their 18+. All that potential income...

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

all hail capitalism

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Different states have different age requirements for working. Some are as low as 14.

4 years ago | Likes 55 Dislikes 1

True, different age ranges have different rules, ex how late they can work until on weekdays...and we see states now upping it to 11pm

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Personally I was down to work at 15 but I had to wait a year per texas rules.

4 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 0

I started at a DQ when I was 14 lol

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Fed is 14 years old. They are "Minor Minors" and come with VERY heavy restrictions. At 16 years old you are just a "minor"

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I'm not American but I got my first job at age 12 with parental consent. It's still and has always been legal here although there are rules

4 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 1

I'm in the US. Also started working at 12. But the rules are pretty strict. There are only certain times & total hrs you can work.

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I'm in BC Canada. There wasn't a whole lot of rules until a month ago. Now the hours and jobs are limited

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I worked at McDonalds starting when I was 14. This was when I lived in Iowa in 96. It could only be part time till I was 16.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

In 96 there wasn't a general strike in which otherwise disconnected industries influenced politicians to subvert with lax child labor law.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Don’t know about other places, in my city if a underage want to work, they must have consent from BOTH the parent/guardian and the school.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

And there are some restriction depend on your age, like you are only allow to work 4 hours maximum on school day and 20 hrs per week.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

My kid is 4 and already earns and allowance. He’ll probably get a job in his early teens

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Not as bad here in lithuania i earned in a summer job twice as less as a normal worker and i legit worked the same job.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That’s one shitty franchise owner

4 years ago | Likes 1109 Dislikes 3

Who the fuck puts up a child labor poster with a straight face?

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

The one in my town is bragging about $13.50/hour for full-time for 18+...

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Some are super awesome, others... Not so much. Source: I worked for a great franchise owner who was actual present and actually worked w/us

4 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 0

I mean they all kindof are, my brother has no idea y he can’t find reliable managers, but anyone outside of it is like you’re paying $14/hr

4 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

It's like they are trying to see how far to the line of actual class warfare they can push. We have the power but we need to band together..

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

And it’s like… you don’t see the correlation? His last store manager is getting 5 years for embezzling from him. Lmao

4 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

The only ppl you’re going to find to be a manager at that wage are ppl that can’t find work anywhere else, fuckin moron

4 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

I’m literally a like cook now making $1 more than I was when I was a manager there it’s fucking stupid

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

My wife’s dog grooming salon keeps poaching groomers from a local place that pays “supervisors” $9.75/hr.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Dunno about the whiteout, but the "now hiring children" signs are showing up on McDonalds everywhere.

4 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 0

A dumb franchise owner too. He should have printed a new sign so that potential applicants don't know how much of an ass he is.

4 years ago | Likes 226 Dislikes 0

Initially that is.. will take only few hrs in to find out what an asshole he is..

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The signs probably come from corporate

4 years ago | Likes 71 Dislikes 0

And costs money to get a new one

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Considering it says Careers.mcondalds.com that is def a corporate poster.

4 years ago | Likes 33 Dislikes 0

You can apply to franchise stores there iirc.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yes but the fact it has a corporate address and not a franchise one means it was probably supplied by cirporate.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

most franchise owners are shitty. cant create their own business so they pay franchise fees and siphon money out of their community

4 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 2

How many of them have you personally met?

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Do you know most franchise owners? I only know a few and this doesn’t describe them at all.

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

A followup question: is he saying his social circles are filled with shitty people?

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I've known some pretty awesome franchise owners. They paid well and knew everything about the store, inside and out. Not all are shitty, but

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

The ones who are don't tend to keep the business long. A lot of roll over and employees who don't care shows and customers stop going.

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Didn't they try to revive the 'company store' concept a few years back by having wages go to an internal account you paid to access?

4 years ago | Likes 122 Dislikes 1

Genuinely surprised walmart hasn't done that yet

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

McBank? Drown the clown!

4 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 0

Amazon is doing that again.

I have never been denied a bank account, even @ 16 when I got my 1st job. I've opened accts w/$50. What crappy banks u dealing with?

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Do you have any source for that? Or more details I can Google? Not finding anything and *very* interested. Thanks.

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Paid with prepaid debit cards with fees are a thing that had a lot of outrage a couple of years back

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

1/I worked at 7-11 years ago and they started doing that. But If I remember correctly it was debit card or direct deposit. They just didn’t

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Want to write paper checks anymore

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

At least, that's the first one I found.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Well it's certainly similar to the original comment. And closer than anything I could find. Thanks.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It's probably a misunderstanding/lie. When I was a teenager and worked at BK, they put the money in an account for us. You could use a debit

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 3

card that had a high fee, or you could write yourself a check and cash it at your regular back for free. I imagine something similar is

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

being sensationalized because Imgur proves horseshoe theory is correct on a daily basis.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

It's a pretty easy Google to find the lawsuit -

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Considering you didn't find the lawsuit, apparently it's not. You found a story that only got half the story and didn't bother finding the

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

full terms. I've already said they discourage use of the card. Check your smug bullshit and actually read links before you post them.
