While I agree that there is some irony in that people are only reacting now that it's a white suburban woman, this kind of rhetoric diminishes the energy that needs to exist for change to happen. If people are made to feel like their reaction is wrong because it didn't come sooner, then you are adding another barrier to people reacting at all. Rather than shame people, capitalize on eyes finally opening.
