Landyachtz or Omen make really solid boards, you might want to check them out. Also, use HARD BUSHINGS (+95a) on the trucks.
As a downhill skater, hell yeah bud!!
Slalom don't actually uses a longboard, the fact that is also a gravity sport on soft wheels might be the cause of confusion.
