There's no way they'll loose all of their users with one change like this. Tech companies have demonstrated that they can slowly enshitify a product and their userbase will a tolerate a lot before a significant portion will bail.
Google maps already does the same. I love it when it makes suggestions for a restaurant or store of the same type as what I'm after, shoving it to the top of the results even though it's not the store name I'm sfter. /s
