The world is complex. The internet loves to forget that... To change the world for the better we need to first understand how it works. A few beliefs i hold: - Medicare for All is a no brainer (middlemen are inefficient) - The problem isn't Billionaires. There are ~700 in the USA with ~3.5% of private wealth. - The problem IS capital allocators (VCs and PE) due to fund management incentives. - We need a new party in USA that can spend the governments money effectively for the benefit of the people instead of just adding to the bureaucratic mess.

That's a great argument!

Clickbait. From the report -- "Homes are less affordable in the third quarter of 2023 compared to historical averages in 99 percent of counties". Oh you mean we have inflation? Guys. Shits expensive and we have problems... But the lack of dissent on posts like this just screams stupidity of the masses.

Hmm. I wonder if the MOST SIGNIFICANT MONETARY POLICY EVER that took place in 1971 has ANYTHING to do with this. You guys are a bunch of simpletons. Get an education. Seriously? Im the only dissenting comment? jezus

From the source data's website. Stop sharing cherry picked things that are debunkable because then climate deniers can confirm their existing worldview.

Definitely our society's number one issue. If we can just get rid of the hate, everything and everyone would be great

Like, i dont see how the two are related. I agree this rapist accused others of rape and that's morbidly ironic. But that doesn't validate what frustrates me which is the celebration of jumping to conclusions without due process which is what "every accusation is a confession" encapsulates.

I 100% agree with you and don't see anyone implying it was a legit relationship. The facts came to light and the judgment was obvious. We need to provide the right support and funding to investigate on behalf of victims who come forward with accusations. My point is we shouldn't judge the accused as guilty until we've at least seen the facts.

Can you please explain this? I don't understand how a rapist accusing others of rape is an example of "every accusation is a confession". Is there more background to that phrase I don't know or something?

It makes me sad to see so much support for "every accusation is a confession." This was rape, not a sexual relationship. We shouldn't celebrate jumping to conclusions no matter how often they turn out to be right.

layoffs are not automatically unethical or selfish

But it's the same thing. Acquisitions to consolidate redundant work reduces inefficiency in society. 100% there are unethical layoffs but 1/

If this was possible, Apple (or whoever) would do it for their brand value alone. That is like 4% of their cash on hand position.
