I remember as a kid I used to want to get older so I can have whatever candy I want when I want. Now that I'm 40+ I look at stuff like this and think, that looks pretty good but, boy, that's a lot of calories though.

Jesus Christ that's horrible. For the first three months of my kid's life we didn't leave the house. That's time you should spend bonding, not at work. I'm truly sorry for you.
That's terrible man. You should come to Germany. It's a lot harder to become rich in Europe, but it's also harder to be poor and taken advantage of by your employer.
My wife took two years off from work. Was paid by the state for 14 months. My job gave me a 6 month sabbatical. Having a baby is a big thing and it's appalling that some workplaces do not recognize that.
"Laughs in European". We get paid by the state to have kids. Education is free. Family medical insurance is cheaper. Sure there are some things that are more expensive. But my friends in other countries seem to have to pay a lot more than I do.
According to the article, if you earn more than 140k a year you're part of that 1%. So everyone clamoring for guillotines should maybe check they or someone in their family don't fall into that category.
