So the "ng" sound in Vietnamese is the same as the ng sound at the end of the English words, "song" or "bring". The only difference is you're starting the word with that sound. I guess a thorough way to enunciate it would be "ngoo-wee-en", except it's all one syllable (that's key). If you say something like "ngwin", that's totally fine, and you'd already be pronouncing it better than like 95% of non-Viet speakers. I'll skip the accents on the name and leave that for another day.
Vietnamese here. "Win" and "new win" are not good phonetic representations of how to pronounce Nguyen.
