Many forms of dementia are not terminal. They keep losing function until something else gets them such as pneumonia or they aspirate food/choke, etc.

Governments seems to forget that publicly funded health care isn’t/shouldn’t be about profit. They’re not going to break even. There will always be sick people to treat and that number will increase as long as your population continues to grow.
