Agreed on the AK's and fully automatics. But AR-15's have the same mechanical function as a semi-auto .22 used to hunt squirrels.

They have all those things now, tho, I think. Except for the training, but you do go through it to get a concealed carry permit.
Agree with you on the background checks, tho. However, I think those are already required in many places. Could be wrong. Not sure.
What about for people that say they want those things because the bad guys will have them and they want a level playing field if necessary?

(3/?) prof we're very progressive. Especially the prof. However, I never missed class and was always excited to go knowing I'd have a chance
Course and each day he had us formally debate a different hot-button issue. I'm very conservative while many of my classmates and the (2/?)
The best class I ever had in college was with a prof who shared his political views every day. The class was an intro to gov't type (1/?)

My guess is so they can keep the military informed that someone they've spent thousands of dollars training has gotten in trouble.
