My favorite one was in front of an alleyway that you could see down, but was too narrow to actually navigate: "Try tears, fatty"

There was a kid I knew who was really into the 2edgy4u late 90's early 00's atheism and libertarianism - saw him on my feed, oh hey, wonder what that guy's up toaahhhh it's racism. Boy it's just a lot of racism.

Also, if we're talking about ICE, ~75% of people taken have no criminal record.

Same thing's happening in Ohio: Vivek Ramaswamy is running for Rep. Governor and every post is swarmed with "if i can't pronounce your name. you need to leave. lmao" by truck-profile-pictures

Is my calibration off, or was that reply AI generated? I'm not disagreeing with it, mind, but it feels LLMy in its tone/word choice/pacing

I have experienced a young family member seeing some floppy disks and asking why we had save icons. It's rough, buddy.

While true, that has little bearing on the above, which is of course a video of Dan Spoon, the CEO of GoFundMe

I had that thing where if somebody said something sad or awkward I would automatically snap out a similar story about when something like that happened to me (I think in my mind, connecting with them), and I had to have somebody tell me I did it, and I ALREADY knew I hated when other people did it. The wires just did not cross, and I'm very grateful to have been shown it!

My wife has told me I look like "Beowulf" and "A Grunge Superhero", and both times what she wanted me to do was get a haircut so I STOPPED looking like that. That's the description she thought would motivate me to CHANGE.

Absolutely did not have this experience in France - everybody was really nice and said my French was good, I dunno, guess it's just different outside of Paris.

When women talk about how grating it can be watching female characters written by men with 0 understanding of women, I imagine it's like the feeling of watching Big Bang Theory as a huge nerd.

#8 I heard a lecture (on Gresham College's Youtube, look it up!) about how much of a problem rich people tipping justice was, and their illustration was that the symbol we use for justice. Lady justice, the symbol for the courts, you'd imagine might be hawk-eyed, right? Justice sees all? Doesn't miss anything? Justice has clear vision? No, rich people perverting justice is such a problem that we make justice BLIND, to reassure us that she doesn't see the people seeking judgement at all.

Let's not forget Ezekiel 16:49: "Now this was the sin of your sister Sodom: She and her daughters were arrogant, overfed and unconcerned; they did not help the poor and needy."

I remember there was this twitter interaction showing some survey's results where women were consistently picking a "normal" male body as attractive over a ripped one, and the alpha bro/manosphere response was basically "why are all these women lying on this anonymous survey???"

My friend in college (f)'s mom saved all the hair from when she brushed her hair in childhood and gave her a pillow stuffed with it. Theoretically cute, creepy in practice. Then it got wet, and was gross and heavy, so she put it in the dryer, and it all fused into the worst-smelling bean you can imagine

I was always the Big Grappler guy, because it was just endlessly funny to me that the extremely serious lifetime martial artist "I am on a LIFETIME JOURNEY, I have dedicated my life to this craft, and I will climb the highest peaks on broken legs if need be!" anime protagonist would pick a fight with the big goofy guy five times his size and get pushed through the pavement, followed by a celebratory dance

I got to see my (vietnam vet) father-in-law's assessment for a PTSD treatment program at the VA. Barely paraphrasing, but it was like "subject experienced personality disorder as a result of conditions in Vietnam. Depth of personality disorder makes it possible this program will not succeed, therefore, no entry, no assistance, no referrals, later, good luck!"

Oh, hey! When I was interviewing for jobs, I interviewed with a company that was using AI to automatically contest insurance denials. The original intent was to have a first model determine which claims insurance would deny, and then write contestations for those, but it turned out it was actually much easier to just always write one, and assume every claim would get contested. Depressingly, it was a different company, meaning there's market space for at least two!

Hey all, while this attitude totally exists, this particular account is a satirical one, so just be aware before using him as evidence per se

Yeah once nice thing about getting older is you've actually lived through the time periods people make insane claims about. Noooope.

The only thing dumber than the idea that anybody would speak for all men is that it would be either of these two
