Peace and love, motherfuckers

It's surprising when people say stuff like that, as if niceness was a hierarchy... doesn't seem nice to the rest of the many nice people in the world

I mean reinforcing their own internalized shame they may have over same-sex relations definitely could

you could argue that antagonizing their internalized homophobia isn't doing anything to make queerness more welcomed

I don't know what the legal construct of the Nuremberg laws are, but I feel like the US doesn't abide by them. The US needs to be abolished for being an imperialist country, prior to and as precedent for the 3rd Reich.

I hear ya, I mean you can always just un-focus and wander around a bit to find something. I don't know how old you are, if that's the case, but the world's been going down hill for a bit now. But I agree with you in terms of content and creating joyful imugery :(

Notice how it says "I did not speak out" rather than "I did not wage total war". Waging a social war is not the same as a military war. We may very well need to wage one of those, but it's my personal opinion (which is all I'm advocating) that that war isn't suitable. If you want to wage war, use your mind. If someone threatens you, use your 2nd amendment. Calling for a civil war is folly and what they want. No one wants civil war if they know what it entails. Socialism is the only real solution

You think this is the first time murder happened in this country because of white supremacy?

2 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

Yeah sure, I'm in denial. But wait til a war breaks out...

I was studying us history around the civil war in autumn, and i think that war is evil and trying to understand what motivates people to support governments which marshal people into it is based on a lot of false thoughts. i understand what's at stake but i have no reason to believe america can't descend into a mutually destructive civil war (it's more likely that the fascists would win). i am not anti-violence. if you want to destroy evil, you have to be subtle...

2 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

that's true but in destruction you also have to build up out of the trauma it creates, I hope we have the courage to create before it gets to that negative point

If you really want to create change, all you have to do is confront people verbally in the streets, rally people. There will be violence because that is what the system is. But that is itself the blood of how the system works. I'm not saying violence isn't necessary, I'm saying that you have to be strategic whenever it's used. Because they will use it against us but we don't always have to use it. The stronger force is justice when applied powerfully

No, war isn't the answer. There are still a lot of ways for people to gather around collective interests without unnecessary violence. Calling for war doesn't help, but arming ourselves does. If we want to affect change with the least amount of suffering as possible, calling for war is just a reactive response in this overall situation.

the reality of schoolyard violence

Most people indeed want peace and safety, but the thing is that's not a reality under the Trump regime. That is why there are people on the left calling for extreme measures, because the government is itself extreme. And it's getting more extreme. I personally don't think a violent revolution would succeed. But the thing is if we don't create a mass movement with actual power then the government will continue to force violence upon us.

"blocking ICE with your car leads to civil war" is quite a thought. you seem to be assuming that what ICE did was a response to antagonism, and overlooking that the whole point of ICE is to oppress and incite people. what the government is intentionally doing is drive everyone to some sort of conflict; but people trying to protect others is not the causal factor in that potentiality. That's abuser logic.

it is insane

By placing the blame on the murder victim you are excusing ICE for the murder as well as justifying their oppressive actions against Americans. Allowing ICE to run roughshod over the populace isn't a form of de-escalation either. People need to stand up to this- the current regime is going to continue to bring war to the people and anything short of violence will check this. Framing these self-defensive tactics as equally antagonizing acts is just serving MAGA propaganda

There's quite a difference between advocating for revolution against oppression and wanting to murder and repress for "law and order"

It's just such a slam in the face to see people hate on me for speaking the truth and then getting patronized upon. I take this shit seriously and then people abuse me for it and it makes me want to fucking kill myself.
