Afterwards, all of the unpleasantness of these tasks will fade and you will only recall the good ones. With the inner pride of knowing you did the right thing when it counted. You got this! Smoker for almost 50 years and decided to quit spur of the moment on April 23 of last year. I still smell someone smoking outside and think, "God that stinks.... I want one!" You can find assistance in your local community, and the both of you will be better, and more closely attached, for this journey. I say this as a person who was at their rock-bottom a decade ago. If not for the 2 brave, insightful, loving companions I had through it all, I would not have had the will to continue. They have both passed on, and will be remembered forever in my heart.
