I make things. Most of the time they're online.

"Those who make peaceful protest impossible make violent protest inevitable." - JFK

More specifically, an oligarchic kleptocratic kakistocracy, which is a government operated by a small "elite" cabal of the hopelessly corrupt, who also happen to be hopelessly inept. Blending the worst traits of all three types.

The Mechanicus approves of this action.

Feels similar to the idea that you cannot "logic" someone out of a position they didn't "logic" themselves into. High-IQ people are usually rather analytical, and that makes them highly resistant to emotional appeals that contradict logical thought and efforts to exploit emotional responses such as rage-baiting.

Grampa Buff wholeheartedly approves.

Of all the characters in anime one could do this to, Frieren would probably be the worst possible choice in terms of "wreck your shit" potential, but also the funniest.

#10 - Yep, metformin does that. I'm on a slew of drugs thanks to having a "widowmaker" heart attack and CABG surgery last year, and I'm pre-diabetic, so metformin is one of them. However, one of my other drugs causes constipation so it and the metformin get to battle it out. So, as a result of their warfare I get really strong fast "bathroom NOW!" urges, but poop almost disappointingly normally. Doc thought that was hilarious when I told her about it.

He is purely transactional and only thinks of things as zero-sum. All wins must incur a corresponding loss to the other side.

It's also worth noting that the different apostles had different focal points for their writings, and one -not- mentioning something that another -does- mention doesn't invalidate that mention. The Bible is designed to be taken as a whole, and cherry-picking breaks things like context and historical background, which is a large part of why there are warnings in the Bible to not do that.

Retconned? Likely not, actually, as nobody ever raised concerns about whether Jesus had the lineage to be messiah but instead caused some of the folks from his same hometown to ask about how he was messiah-mode, e.g., "wait, isn't this Joseph's son? his brothers and sisters live here, right?", because of the whole "familiarity breeds contempt" slash "a prophet is never well-received in his home town" thing.

There were indeed, but (1) Israelites knew a messiah was coming and roughly what the time frame was, and (2) Jesus arrived exactly when said messiah was coming and fit the description (e.g., specific family lineage).

No, but America very much is, or at least claims to be...

Ancient Israel wanted a warrior king to throw off Rome's yoke but what they got was a spiritual leader coming to usher in a new covenant, so they rejected him because what God sent wasn't what the humans wanted at the time. They completely missed the point about what the messiah was even for.

Jesus covered that "God's chosen people" part in Matthew 23:38 when he declared Israel's "house" was being abandoned to them and left desolate. That signified the end of Israel's status in God's eyes, and the siege and destruction of Jerusalem (and most notably the temple) in 66CE was the final nail in that coffin. Modern Israel holds no significance in terms of scripture and is just another secular nation.

And detaining American citizens has been happening as well despite ICE not having any jurisdiction over citizens whatsoever. Of course very little of that is making the news because it could fracture the Republican voting base even more than it is now.

Usually the YT polyglots are in fact fluent or at least conversational in some of the languages, and degrades to canned phrases in others. XiaomaNYC springs to mind, as he has videos of language challenges where he has to hold an actual convo with native speakers and the only advanced warning he gets is which languages will be involved. He does make it clear when it's a lang in which he's not conversant.

There's a woman from Detroit that lives in Japan that does videos of speaking fluently in one of like five or six Asian languages and freaking people out. Does some omegle/ometv vids like Ryan her as well. Oriental Pearl is her YT account name IIRC.

Exactly what I thought, only Mar-A-Lago face is even more extreme than this.

You can never "logic" someone out of a position they did not "logic" thrmselves into. It's just that simple. All you can do as an amateur outsider with no cult-deprogramming expertise is distance yoursrlf for your own safety so you won't get any of the shit they fervently believe in on you. These psychological aspects of this cultism are also why mockery is so brutally effective - calling them "weird" removes both agency and legitimacy from their ideology and denies its seriousness.

VERY much so. Add ADD/ADHD into the mix and getting derailed could take days to recover from.

The way all the wealthy and powerful people acted was way too real. Scathing was an understatement.

It can do full-width cages/faceplates for 6", 7", 10", and 19", bolt-together halves for 10"/19", and third- and quarter-widths for 19". Height is manually set (0.5-5.0U) for faceplates only and auto-scaled by device height for cages.

Also, yep,
https://cagemaker.org/ for the web (OpenSCAD Playground, a WASM port of OpenSCAD that runs in a browser) version or https://github.com/WebMaka/CageMakerPRCG for the Github repo if you want to run a copy on OpenSCAD directly, which is faster.

During his pot period he basically stayed stoned non-stop.

While I don't care if people smoke pot or munch edibles because for a lot of folks there are way more benefits than negative impacts, too much of anything can be bad for you and what he did was basically FA&FO.

You can always run a line to the warm water line under the bathroom sink, but you really need a hot-cold mixing bidet (which thankfully is a thing - mine has both hot and cold inlets) or you'll trade a frozen butthole for a cooked one.

Cognitive issues such as abnormally slow thinking speed, difficulty making abstract connections, etc., memory issues that seemed to change from day to day, a few mental things like OCD, that sort of thing.

Yep, that and also projecting the "charismatic leader" shtick authoritarians always do to keep their cultists engaged.
