Reform want PR too. Some in labour support it, i forgot until yesterday that there was a referendum on it that voted no.
The glimmer of hope is the 2 parties were rejected. The downside until one of those 2 parties allow proportional represenation its going to give undemocratic results.
Thr election was a bad day in uk politics not because of who won but because of how the vote in individual seats went. Because of first past the post what happened is people didnt choose red they chose others but all that meant was red won 2/3 of the seats with 1/3 of the votes. Uk parliment needs to join Soctland in using proportional representation before peoples votes will count to that degree. I normally like independent candidates but we got single demographic members which is worrying.
If you mean count binface 308. https://youtu.be/cm8hIiBIPXY?si=5moXHwIsfODYkBXW
Nah its not about whos in and whos not (well it is and it isnt) its about how unrepresentative it was. Im an SNP voter pretty much the opposite but weve overly benefited from fptp in previous elections, im somewhat glad thats past this time round. In Scottish elections we got rid of fptp. 1/3 of the population shouldnt outvoice the remaining 2/3 bad things happen. Brexit happened because tories had to appeal to that wing as in a broad church last night shows what happens when that wing splits.
People dont like the new government they have very little mandate but a landslide majority due to first part the post. Last night was a bad day for uk politics even if like me youve never voted Tory, it showed fptp nolonger adds up in a dangerous way. SNP technically proved this a while back and we got to see some very unrepresentative results across the board including multiple uslamist candidates.
This election really proved fptp needs to go. The fact that labour get 2/3 the seats with 1/3 the vote. The fact that reform got 14% of the vote and 4 seats where the lib dems got 12% vote and 71 seats. The fact that islamist candidates can now win over parties purely on muslim votes is a worry, the SNP managed to win super majorities on 1 demographic before last night and from last night looks like the same can happen across the uk. Really bad day for uk politics (im not a Tory voter).
