The best part is they probably had way more intense challenges through their existence but humans generally cannot see beyond their own problems

If that back-n-forth seemed odd to you. It’s because it was.

My handwriting droops too, and just this morning I claimed to be creative. So it must be true

Does it store the juice or push it back onto the grid ?

I had a friend (we never hung out but it was a small school) in high school who really could’ve been a bully but never quite crossed the line from sorta jerk to outright mean. He later dated a girl who was super in being dominated which fed his violence, she loved being punched (super uncomfortable to be around them) - fast forward he’s an MSP PD, and I thought for sure when I heard the Floyd news, that I’d see him. It wasn’t but he fit the bill

So that was a little bit before all the big grants went into place. Can you share a couple details please? Was it all self funded or what avenues did you pursue to get subsidies? Also that’s over a decade old, how are they holding up?!? The tech has come far since then. As a heads up I’ll probably have more questions

you clearly have never lived in a ghetto. Also we’ve gone a few deviations away from point - which was discussing how pricing is set based on targeting demographics rather than margin.

Literally says several. Hence my point of I don’t think people realize that. Clearly you don’t.

Meningitis is brain swelling caused by various viruses and bacteria. There isn’t a meningitis vaccine. I’m not sure a lot of people are aware of that

Then the killers who are suddenly paid better take on their own slaves and the cycle repeats. But only in recorded history….

10 homeless people sitting in a lobby drives away 50 middle class people. Think of the gas stations you avoid. Same concept.

I’ll posit that slavery existed and still does, follow yeah? Ok now extrapolate that to whatever your position in life is and think “shit there’s enough wealth that if we redistribute it we’d all be pretty well off” we’ll call that part 2. Now part 3 seems to be where you’re hung up- the reason why the wealth isn’t redistributed is because the people with it don’t care about you and want to be better than you. I’ll pause let you digest that and let me know when you’re ready to continue

The first paragraph is why I tried to help people understand their world… the second paragraph is why I said I shouldn’t. I’m telling you how things work and it’s met with that response lol

I know how slavery works. A slave is a person who thinks raising minimum wage will impact their group in a positive way. I’m telling you emphatically no one gives up power freely.

If it costs 15 and you sell it for 10 does not put you out of business. Thats what subsidies do. As far as “what the market will bear” thats exactly the point. If I don’t want poor people near me, I raise the cost to fit a specific demographic. Your knowledge is very spot on for capitalism, but we’re not in capitalism. That’s the example I used with the chicken sandwich, it’s priced specifically for a demographic now for profit

I’ll make it easier for you. The number you are paid is not related to the value of your work. That number is designed to lace you in your caste in life. If a person is deemed to be in the bottom 10%, your numeric value of compensation is irrelevant. You could make 100/hr but that just means everything will adjust. What you can buy and do now is the same after a wage increase

I shouldn’t try to explain things to people who don’t understand them*

corrected it for you

1 week ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 7

I used a chicken sandwich as an example. Culvers targets 40 year old women so they raised the pricing of a chicken sandwich to 95% margin not for profits but to make it so broke people can’t go there which creates the atmosphere that will attract their client base. $ is meaningless to decision makers.

Well I described reality. So you’re either misinterpreting or you’re saying reality is nonsense

There’s a much deeper problem that I’d gladly explain but not sure if you’re interested

1 week ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 5

To put it in terms that’s relevant to your point. If you get the $5/hr raise. Your expenses will be raised by the same aggregate monthly number. Your experience in life will remain exactly as is. This is by design. For example if you go to a Culvers and get a chicken sandwich, 95% of the cost is margin. This is because the pricing is set for a select amount of people to participate. I was in the room when the conversation happened, they never even brought up profitability

Which part are you specifically talking about? The point stands but many people don’t understand

1 week ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 7

The people paying you are the people setting the prices. Everything is on a ratio. Hence I support just setting minimum wage at infinity. It’ll then end the conversation because the conversation is a waste of time and energy. And this painfully obvious fact seems to be completely missed. How? I don’t know. even this back and forth with you is strange to me. In your example of paying me a quarter, sure that’s fine if the cost of living is a quarter. Again the numeric value of compensation is null

Perfect example of someone not getting it… that’s not even in the same realm of what I said. If you’re hung up on the Elon part, I just picked a guy that everyone is aware of. I could’ve said bill gates or anyone else but the point stands as such “the numeric value of your salary is irrelevant”

1 week ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 15

Just bump the minimum wage up to infinity so we can skip all the incremental increases… people who argue for minimum wage increases do not understand the way the world works. I’ll try to explain it here but I know it won’t land. You wage is X. Elon’s wage is Y. You’re always going to be the same ratio of X to Y. Changing X is meaningless.
