We’ve talked about on my crew. This is exactly why we run emergent in the winter if we get reports of pets in any frozen body of water.
Crosby, Stills, and Nash. Another band.
Grew up watching NASCAR w/ my Dad, Dale was/is an icon of the sport. But a thought I’ve had recently, gets a touch political but bear w/ me; there’s some irony in the fact that Dale was presented w/ protective gear that could have saved him and chose to disregard it and died. And is now widely praised a by sizable number of people that were presented Covid vaccines/research, chose to disregard it and ended up worse off as a result.
Just an absurdly strong cast for a video game, especially this era of video games.
Completely forgot about him too. Yup, movie and the game.
For their claimed use case in this instance, 5mg/kg. So for McClain roughly 320mg. However the LD50 of Ketamine is thought to be around 11.3mg/kg, so for McClain; 723mg. It was absolutely too much, but below what would typically be thought of as the lethal amount. Did it contribute to his death? Most likely. Was it the sole cause? My opinion; probably not. Police handling of McClain prior also played a role. Personally I think it was a combination of the two that ended in tragedy.
The weirdness here is the link goes to the original video, but I think these clips were taken from the “Audit the Audit” video due to the brief black and white with a narrator voice over in one of the clips. But also there’s a TikTok water mark on the first clip that is from neither the original video or Audit the Audit.
Not in this case. I don’t remember his name but the guy in this video tapes himself having police interactions like this. He’s walking right to the line but not crossing it. He was told to not exit the car; he doesn’t, just opens the door and leans a bit. “Audit the Audit”, reviewed one of his tapes. It’s an interesting YouTube channel that reviews footage of police interactions w/ regard to relevant laws, people’s rights, and police policy. grades both the officer and person involved afterward
It’s a grid system, and they do have meaning. So for example Denver; the “0 blocks” that form the x/y axis are Ellsworth/Broadway respectively. A 100 address is 1 block away, 200 would be 2 blocks, and so forth. Can be further specified by N/S/E/W. All “avenues” run east/west across the city, odd addresses (ie 475) on the north side of the street. “Streets” run North/South with odd addresses on the west side of the street. There are also patterns to the names that clue you into where in the city
Our best evidence suggests human origin, and I will admit nothing is every 100% for certain. But we have no evidence of anything else, and therefore no reason to believe in anything else. So please clarify exactly where YOU think these stories or religion could have come from? I emphasize “YOU” not to shout on the internet, but to make clear that I want your opinion on their origin. You have argued against my take on all of this, what is yours so that I can better understand?
Functionally I think it is in this case. There is no evidence of anything divine involved in this process or in any other matter. There is evidence of the involvement of people. Given the lack of evidence for anything divine regarding anything writ large, and the evidence for stories told by people for millennia; it is reasonable to conclude that people are the source.

To paraphrase; scholars have moved away from divine dictation and emphasize human authorship. I will grant it’s Wikipedia, but feel free to review the references. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/%C5%9Aruti The second link talks about Sruti’s, the ancient stories of Hinduism, among the oldest religions. Stories passed down verbally by people.
Why would I provide a link? The burden of proof rests on the one making the claim. You claim a god exists, I am asking you to support that claim with evidence.
Given the lack of ANY evidence, at this time it is entirely reasonable to conclude that God is a fairly tale. We do have evidence that quite literally everything we know about religion has been constructed by man, with zero empirical evidence of anything divine. People were rightly skeptical of the big bang given an initial dearth of evidence, that changed with evidence and research and time. Please provide a shred of evidence of your truth… It would be fascinating to learn I am wrong.
You are welcome to start doing hard science to prove the existence of god at your convenience, we’ll wait… Until there is actual evidence, there is no reason to believe in a god/s. Any argument that starts with “faith”, or “God Tells Us”; is not valid. At best, you can start from a position of “maybe”. But that is not a tangible reason to believe. Religion, faith, gods; all creations of man, different flavors of mythology. Zeus, Odin, God; all lenses people use to examine humanity, all myth.
It’s so much simpler, the problem with your argument is that you have no evidence of god. If religion could provide tangible evidence of the existence of such an entity; it’d be worth considering. The burden of proof rests with you since you are the one making the claim, there is no duty for others to prove a negative. Until religion, can provide evidence; the only conclusion is that god/s are not real. As sets of philosophies, there are potentially things to learn, but people wrote them not god
That was my thought too. As long as the paw is clean, they’re going into an oven at several hundred degrees; that’s going to kill everything that might be there.
Don’t remember if they were shooting but there definitely was a part were the local honcho was showing off AKs at dinner in the house.
We all live in a yellow submarine*. Limited time offer, terms and conditions may apply.
@op We also get it said to us in EMS all the time, not a fan. But I will admit we sometimes use it amongst ourselves, whenever someone does something particularly boneheaded. “Oh, thank you for your service. Really inspiring the public trust. Fix your shit. /s” In that context, fine with it.
From what I’ve seen; it wasn’t the handler. The K9/handler were County sheriff, and were responding with local PD. The shooter was local PD.
The officers do. Shot their own dog.
North Carolina Code 14-163.1(a1) “Placed on administrative leave”. So that means the officer is gonna be arrested and charged, right? Just like they would do to anyone else. /s

Welp, I googled it and not sure that was a great choice. 19yo girl in Russia called her mother three times while she was being eaten by a bear and it’s cubs in Russia. Took an hour. I did not listen to the tapes, and I’m not gonna.
This fire was more than a decade ago.
