The actual doll is supposed to be a Raggedy Anne doll. Not sure why they made it so demented for the movie.
I agree. I feel like over half of those kids don't want to be there.
It's a licensing issue. The same reason that Sonic is just different shades of blue.
They only need one.
You use 100% of your brain, just not all at once. Example: You use different parts when you're playing soccer as opposed to watching tv.

In the books the walls move every night and there are monsters in the maze. Otherwise that would be a little too easy. :P

When you have strong lat-dorsai(back) muscles they flare out like that. I'm a swimmer too and mine do that to a lesser extent.

Women's water polo was only recently added, even though men's has been around for a while, so I don't think that's a reason.
