Had that when the daughter was born. Hospital sent and 'estimated' bill. I told them I would happily pay once they sent an itemized bill. They told me, "Just pay the estimate and we'll refund the difference"... right. Back and forth a couple times with them, they'd send an estimate, I'd request a detailed bill. They finally gave up and quit billing me, and it never hit my credit report.
