Not defending this guy, but there are specific legal definitions of misconduct vs assault. In this case, he was not accused of touching a sexual area (crotch, breasts, butt), just her legs and hips. Thus, if an article accused him of "assault," it would be libel. Now, what they could have done was call it "GOP Shit-stain attempts to sleep with child relative."
