Without condoning their existence whatsoever, carrying 3 spare mags for your primary weapon is usually standard practice. Since they don't have a long gun, their primary weapon would be a handgun, and he's carrying 3x mags for a handgun.

The unreasonable part of all of this is handing an 18 year old a plate carrier and firearm and expecting them to exercise LEO powers after 6 weeks of training, not the specific amount of ammo they're humping.

Now, I'll also say that, if you're cosplaying a specific character who's sword has a very long hilt, then that's a 100% fine affirmative defense. You're portraying that person, so you should use what that character is using.

Regardless, I want to say again, you did a damn fine job and the cosplay looks fantastic. "Grounded" cosplay that feels like it could really exist is my favorite kind. Nice work.

NP, my handle may be more applicable than usual.

Rapier hilts are weird, because you hold a rapier out and it's tip-heavy. You can't really make a bigger pommel because it gets in the way of your wrist flexion, so the only other choice is to lengthen the grip to make a longer lever for your counterbalance. But take a look at IRL rapier hilts:

They're SUPPOSED to be tip-heavy. The forward weight of a rapier is intentional and affects thrusting.

Nice work. Cosplayers tend towards making rapier hilts both too large and *especially* too long, but while yours is still a little long it's within reason to still be practical & usable. It's difficult to do that sort of small work out of non-metallic materials, so 100% credit where it's due.

For reference, were I buying a real rapier, this is the rough length proportion between hand and hilt that pretty closer to optimal. Like I said, you're pretty close:

"the Nazi tanks were better than the Sherman tanks"

They were absolutely farking *not*. They tended towards thicker armor and bigger guns. They were slower, heavier, less transportable, *grossly* less reliable, less ergonomic for the crew, less able to be escaped *from* (meaning the crew's more likely to die), less able to communicate with other battlefield units, and basically less of everything that lets you actually put the gun and armor where you actually need it, WHEN you need it.

True. But that doesn't make war unnecessary. For example, it is going to take a war to get America back out of the hands of the Reich Wing. If you aren't up for a war, then you've ceded the country to them permanently (or, at least, for multiple lifetimes).

Sure, argue against war. I agree with you that it sucks. But that doesn't make fighting one wrong. (SPOILER: THE ONE AGAINST IRAN IS FUCKING WRONG)

Bitch please, some of us can wear heels better than women can. Mostly because if you're a woman and you publicly fall in heels you're embarrassed. If you're a *man* and you publicly fall in heels you basically have to kill yourself.

FWIW, the response to that seems to be "Bible says Go Thou and MAKE disciples of all nations". It doesn't say anything about giving them a choice in the matter; you will be made a disciple whether you like it or not.

Which, of course, is why the *actual* answer to Abrahamic forms of religion (most of the Eastern ones seem chill) is to wipe them out first, not try to "live with them", because they're planning to kill everyone, unless we all convert. They are an existential threat to humanity.

Well, you have to remember that empathy is a sin, and as Christians, their sins have been washed away, so it's totally unreasonable for them to still possess any empathy after that.

It's what Jesus would have wanted after all, right?

Good advice. First time I got stabbed by a sword (through and through of the calf) I poured alcohol on it, stuffed it with gauze, wrapped duct tape over it, and went back out onstage for the next act. That turned into a 3 month healing time and a very unpleasant antibiotic series.

The second time I got stabbed by a sword (between 1st and 2nd knuckles, running parallel to the hand back to the wrist) I went to the ER. Got stiches and was fighting again a week later. Go to the damn doctor.

And as someone who supports trans people, the US Reich Wing is going to do *all* of that anyway. As long as they exist, nothing you do or so, no obeisance or subservience to their mania, no act you can perform save for your own suicide, will *stop* them from doing it. So the choice is a guarantee of dying on your knees, or an acceptance of dying on your feet - and MAYBE you get to live through the second one. Make a choice.

I don't disagree man, but rinks should suck it up and flood the ice more often anyway. This is nowhere near the damage dealt by, say, a full hockey practice doing 30 minutes of repeated C-cuts on the blue lines. Those take 2-3 full flood and cuts to even back out.

That said, yeah, this does tear things up for the other folks during that public skate for sure.

You damn well know what. They aren't going to stop until they're forced to stop by physical force. That's not accelerationism, that's pattern recognition.

If they aren't near me they don't count. And 11 hours of driving doesn't qualify as "near".

I know that the US and Russia are basically interchangeable rogue states now, but I'm pretty sure you've confused them. For everything else the US has done, it was *Russia* who invaded Afghanistan in the 80s (technically, December of `79), not the US. An understandable mistake in modern times, but still wrong.

Of course it was. The people who created the psyop did so from a root of misogyny. But it was an audience primed to listen to it *because* of the previous 20 years of attacks on gaming. The entire audience didn't start off as hating women specifically, they would have hated *anyone* who deigned to criticize the industry because of the history beforehand. That readiness to hate was ID'd and deliberately directed by those who DID/DO hate women.

#13 Hey, HEY! What is this? That's Snoopy up there, so it should be a Mad *DOG* chassis the house is riding on. That's a Mad *CAT* chassis!

Correct, yes. Returning to monke is the only way forward, evidently. At least that way nobody gets surprised when certain troop members are publicly beaten to death instead of having to wait until they're outside of New York Hilton hotels.

A *lot* of people were primed to see her as the next Jack Thompson figure coming to take their games away.

Gamers were so used to people claiming “video games make you violent,” that all some chud had to do is suggest someone like Anita is saying “Video games make you sexist,” to direct that frustration her way. The misogyny was absolutely there, but it only amplified the effect. It didn't create it. At that time, anyone claiming "games = bad for reason" was going to get backlashed, hard.

I'm going to make the mistake of using nuance.

Gamers at the time had a history of rallying against ppl like Jack Thompson who wanted insane game censorship or bans. Whether or not games were protected speech was technically still an open question in the US until *2011*. So, by the time Anita came along there was already a built-in culture of opposing criticism from perceived outsiders who "didn't understand the medium".

He's an asshole and a war criminal and should be strung up.

But @OP, that was NOT an unarmed ship. Red arrow indicates a 76mm gun mount. We don't need to make their job any easier by claiming falsities that are trivially debunked. See next post for 2nd image that shows the ship in better conditions, with the arrow indicating the same gun mount.

You should be. It's the citizens that put them in power, and its the citizens who support them. If the government were to suddenly cease to exist, those citizens would still be racist hateful bigots who would welcome the return of slavery and the conquest of any nation they can reach.

Until every single person who supported or voted for Trump lies prematurely dead in the ground, America will never be safe again. The US has 70+ million people it needs to purge.

As a German, you may recall how irritated people got when 6 million and change noncombatants got killed. Well, in America, we're going to have to kill a good chunk of Trumps voter base to improve anything. That's ~77 million people, so lets compromise and say killing ~35 million Americans is a good *starting* point.

I'm relatively bad at math, but IIRC 35 million is a slightly bigger number than 6 million, so we're going to have to work up to that. That's going to take time, my man.
