The explanation is that some TSA workers are doing jobs that don't require their specialized training, and anyone can be brought it to do it. I'm not sure if that's actually true or not. I think the real reason is retribution for ICE protests and not funding them. Basically, "oh you don't like ICE? Well now they're going to be everywhere until I get what I want." Also supposedly the idea came from someone talking about it on fox news.
They saw what happened after trump lost in 2020. Everyone is getting a pardon.

lol...as someone that has spent way too much time studying american robins, I knew this post would ruffle some feathers.
What he did really bothered those cops. Maybe enough to make them change their ways. So if a cop does something you don't like, name them and shame them. Fucking everywhere. Be relentless. We are weak compared to what he did. No threats of violence, just pure ridicule.

This varies a lot by state, but in my state you can register on election day with no ID or any documentation at all.

Something about teams working better when they are in the same room working face to face. And I'll admit that there is some truth to that, but not enough to overcome the sanity that comes from working from home. But none of the people in my team live within 200 miles of eachother.
It's one of many theories. Another theory is that CEO's and mayors of large cities are working together to get people to come back into the cities that have been decimated by the covid WFH shift. Another idea is that stick in the mud CEO's think people don't do enough work when they're at home. My personal favorite though is that they want to make employees lives miserable so they quit and then the company doesn't have to lay off as many people with severance packages.
My company did that. Even sold off some buildings and cancelled leases. Then they changed their mind last year and want everyone to go into office space that doesn't exist.
Maybe with better planning? I presume they needed repairs to become airworthy and that would be more expensive than using the super guppy. But yeah, seems like maybe they could have flown them to the scrap yard before they became un-airworthy.
Since I was curious...it's not a common thing they do and it's only when they are retired and are being relocated to be scrapped for parts.
That would get me to talk.
But I bet if we measured, one of your slices would be 1mm smaller than the others.
