I was raised/christened/confirmed in the United church. What I learned comes down to 1 thing- treat people how you want to be treated

My therapist said the brain doesn't hear negatives. Instead of saying to yourself "I don't want ***" say to yourself "I want ***"

My therapist said the brain doesn't understand 'don't' make your mantra "i want water' and according to her you'll be more successful.
