You can increase weight by upgrading strength and the reason ppl don't trade is ppl don't have enough excess stuff to trade yet.
And I did that around lvl 15. (Go to SomeScrub1 on Twitter for my proof of my account) Its not perfect, but if you put in time it fixes it
And if you don't like that be over encumbered. I'm currently 100 over my 200 weight. The mosters are killable, I've killed a ScorchedBeast
First, there are NPCs, they do trade and there are some public event quest ones and there are perks that reduce weight around lvl 10.
