There is a methodology of training animals where you use a "clicker" to mark the behaviour you want. It is considered by idiots to be overly gentle and naive.

They're correct though, and he asked

Interestingly it's an incomplete hunting pattern! They chase and herd as they would a group of wild animals but we've basically selected out the bite and kill from them. They're hunting, but don't have the code in them to hurt.

I have a very stressful job in an animal shelter that I adore. Breaks are necessary for me to not burn out, but I like coming back.

We did full size bars this year in Australia, and got no trick or treaters :(

I think maybe people don't realise how nasty resource guarding bites are. Yes communication happening, but puppy needs help respecting it.

Heads up - 3 is a lot more than 2. 2 is a good sweet spot. If nothing else foster first to feel it out.

As an owner of a rough collie, no way! They're bigger and more beautiful <3

Which is super sweet, but they have massive behavioural problems due to a lack of socialization. It's real sad.

This is the cutest because my husband and I will give each other permission to splurge on things that individually we would never buy.

Read Guards! Guards! The first Vimes-s book, fantastic read and a bit more approachable that Pratchetts first chronological book.

/2 This cat could be copying the 'other' cat or just simply touching his own ear while looking in the mirror.

The mirror test uses a mark they can only see in the mirror, if they touch it on themselves they presumably recognise the reflection as them

Very adorable - But not really what the mirror test is, no way to say the cat recognises that is her.

Just curious, did you start at level 10 or do you frequently reprint character sheets?
