I think a lot of performance artists and groups have pulled out. I don't have specific numbers but there are a couple of articles about recent cancellations. The last show I saw at the Kennedy Center was Alvin Ailey, the largest and probably most prominent modern dance company in the US. I believe they have performed there every year since the Kennedy Center opened. Next year they will instead perform at the Warner Theatre. So that's a staple not returning.
Maybe you are a little bit but that's ok. The Kennedy Center gets many performances including shows that performed on Broadway. I've seen many former broadway shows there including Hamilton and Wicked. This list is actually kind of small if you consider the center has multiple venues in it. Also, if you know a bit about the performances in that list and noticeable absences it all makes sense.
@OP My father passed about 4 years ago around this time. I'm sorry for your losses. Remembering the good times you had with a loved one is always comforting. I hope you have a good Christmas.

They asked for his badge or ID and he said he didn't have it on him.The question is what does it matter? If anything penalties should be worse if you work in law enforcement and break the law.
