I definitely a human person and not a Plutonian sent to Earth to determine why Pluto was declassified as a planet and then to address possible means of punishing the human race for this transgression. I pose as a (recently graduated) engineering student. I love reading old books. I have a good sense of humor that is largely based off absurdity, sarcasm, and being pointlessly pedantic. Oh, and dad jokes. My friends love to hate it. It's an acquired taste. Also, I love turtles of all shapes and sizes, though green sea turtles and hawksbill turtles are my jam. Both of these fine creatures eat jellyfish as a favorite snack. Both of these fine creatures can't tell the difference between a plastic bag that will suffocate them and a jellyfish that will satisfy their cravings. Don't kill my favorite critters. Dispose of your plastics responsibly so they don't end up in the ocean. And send me sea turtle pictures if you want to be my friend. (formerly known as jedimastercoffee)

Which is hyperbole. We don't get many this late, but always a couple and they are always bad. Been that way longer than I've been alive

I'm only contesting the "Tornado in December!?! So crazy!" folks when around here tornado season is from Thanksgiving to Christmas

Definitely a long one. It's one of the worst in a long while for sure and I hope the affected communities get the support they need

Climate change may have contributed to the severity, but the timing is unfortunately pretty normal for this part of the country.

No argument over the factories, but this isn't a weird time of the year for a tornado. The bad ones are always early winter or early spring

And I know strike wages are a thing, but that's usually barely enough to buy food for the day, much less rent/utilities/etc.

ironically striking for better pay (and benefits) usually requires that you had decent pay and benefits to start with.

You can't effectively strike if you can't miss a paycheck and you'll be replaced the instant you leave.

Exactly this. It helps to have good clean notation for everything especially when you have to loop back on yourself for in Diff Eq solutions

This is where the "Strict parents make quiet, crafty kids" idea might help them survive in their weird celebrity lives.

Bad joke aside, it kind of makes sense. Every aspect of their lives are scrutinized. Probably best to make them overly self-controlled.

Of course, a president can be impeached for things that aren't necessarily criminal but are unethical.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I don't believe it has any other consequences. However, it does remove presidential legal protections. They can be tried in "normal" courts

No. This is the hypothetical budget of a 25 year old who makes $100,000 a year made by someone who hasn't made their own budget in 40 years.

I might drive friends and family crazy by bouncing a 20 lb (9 Kilo) leg all the time, but at least my calves are fairly toned.

This post was so good it made me sign in just to upvote it.

It's not that they're excluded. The title is misleading. BSA now allows female troops, but Scouting troops are not co-ed.

Always upvote Sam Lisa Bartowski

It's his swim suit

Oh definitely. But it's also nice to use as a personality filter. *Insert Guardians of the Galaxy "you should be glad you're ugly" gif*

Exactly. Being a short guy isn't a problem unless you make it a problem. (And short jokes from a short guy are somehow funnier? )

Iron, Steel, and aluminum are more or less isotropic after all. And I seriously doubt buckling will be an issue here.

Considering their load ratings compared to their loading in this application, they'll probably outlast everything else in this build.

lol. Robotic turtles are definitely going to happen. (My username is a nod to ROS)

Electrical aspects to it, so I really don't know what I'm going to do for a hobby. (2/2)

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

My work has been mostly traditional mechanical so I've used microcontrollers as my hobby. I might be taking a job that has a lot more (1/2)

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

It's true. Engineering != Mechanic. But even then I do all my own car repairs.

I knew exactly what it would be but scrolled anyway. What's wrong with me?

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'd really like to, but my 20 year old car does 0-60 in about six days.

An old roommate had two. She said it was a cross between a dog and a hamster. Friendly, but not generally potty trainable.
