We live off of narratives. We tell each other - and ourselves - stories about everything. We see patterns we do not understand, and we make up stuff to control them. Rain dances and dowsing, sacrifices and obeisances, lucky shorts and attending church on Sundays so God knows you love him. It's all about the narratives.

Don't sell Trump short. He was also a joke in the 2000s.

That's a great summary. With all that, go out and ask people how many think anything like a class war exists. People will deadass look you in the eye and tell you that was something that happened in the early 1900s with the Pinkertons and shit.

I'm going to shoot for a real answer; because baking, floristry and childcare just doesn't scale. A baker can create and sell maybe 200 products a day, a florist can plant, tend and sell maybe 50 plants a day, a childcare worker can attend maybe 30 kids a day. All those numbers are pulled from my ass, but the point is, there's a physical outer limit. A programmer (AI slop gargler or not) can create something that can serve millions. If marketing pushes sales by 5%, that can mean billions.

IT IS A STRETCH. He had 80+ felony indictments waiting for him before he got reelected -- you think the FBI would have omitted the big one? The democrats on the oversight committee wouldn't have put the entire thing on WikiLeaks if they thought it would have stood up to scrutiny?

It's sad how people are clinging to one the FEW crimes the fuckwit didn't commit, because it's not enough to be a feloniously corrupt, criminally incompetent fascist lover, no, he has to be a fucking pedophile.

People subscribing to conspiracy theories that makes them feel good is what gave us Trump in the first place.

There is absolutely no gain for the american public in any scenario whatsoever. None. You are not the intended benefactors of this war. You never were, and you never will be. You are expected to resignedly accept this pain because you can't do anything else, but they would like you not to blame them for it, even if they are directly and predictably responsible for it. The extra dollars you spend at the pump is a Trump Tax, and it is a War Tax, and the beneficiaries will be the already wealthy.

*sigh* Chuck Feeney is probably the closest thing we've ever had to being a good, leftist billionaire. A unicorn in every respect; modest, principled and generous. Unlike Andrew Carnegie, his wealth wasn't based on brutalizing and impoverishing workers to fund his personal grandiosity. Too bad his legacy will be to give cover to people who still romanticize philantrophy as a noble and respectable way to do good, instead of the gross embezzlement of resources for personal gratifaction.

It's the big philosophical question of our time. How can you hold voters responsible for what they voted for? Which in this case was to hurt and harm people all over the country, and the world. To facilitate gross corruption. To create a space of impunity for those with power. To subordinate the courts to politics instead of law. To capture the press with buyouts, intimidation and lawfare. To undermine the education system. To prevent healthcare. To turn the police from a shield to a bludgeon.

Thanks for the feedback, John! I am so sorry, I understand now that taking out the ground crew was not the outcome you desired. In the future, I will strongly weigh your input on targeting decisions more heavily. I fully understand now that you may have desired to target the bridge crew, port crew or air crew instead of the ground crew, and that I should have prioritized higher asset value more in my decision making. Your input is invaluable in this learning process!

Pull and release mechanism. Tensile strength in an uniaxial tensile test was 5kg hanging off 1,13 grams of material successfully. Remains soft and flexible while under less than 80% of load if I am reading this correctly, like your muscles not contracting while lifting a pen. Impressive. UNIST out of SK.

As salubrious and eploitative as porn is, it is historically an excellent barometer for personal freedom, and of a government's willingness to impose morality on their citizenry. After about 30 years of a reasonably free internet, it's sad to see so many western countries and governments take so many steps to control the behaviour of their citizenry instead of fighting the production of harmful content in the first place.
