I fostered (and eventually adopted) a feral cat who on her first night here, hated being indoors so much that she pulled the register out of the floor and dove into the duct work. She lived there for 3 days before we finally lured her out with food and a live trap. Had concrete blocks on all of the floor vents for several weeks until she finally calmed down and decided a house to live in wasn't so bad after all...also got too fat to fit
We had a big kitty that couldn't reach to clean herself very well (also, lazy), so she would get matted. We shaved her a couple of times a year and her fur always grew back in fine!
My dog has never had a bad experience with a hose and he still absolutely hates it
I think part of it was the safety of their employees (and their inventory).
If I could upvote this 100 times, I would.
Ours bit my husband when he reached for the bone to take it from him so he didn't get sick from eating it all at once...and my husband is his best friend in the world. No more big bones for puppers.

I live just outside of Toronto and worked on a golf course. There is no shortage of worms.

Yes, I do understand that it is "mild" compared to how some have had it. I'd still use "not life threatening" over "mild". Sucks either way.
