Yep, this is why I'm afraid to leave MA. I make more than double the CA threshold OP mentioned and I only pay $5/month for mine.
They need us more than we need them. Do. Not. Forget. That.
Then question and challenge those in power. Holding down those worse off just makes you a coward. Plain and simple.
Or maybe it's mockery. Life giving death the proverbial finger.
