I'm curious - why not?

I was so happy when I saw the first post! I squealed! (and made my coworkers worry for me, but we don't talk about that lol)

A sizeable amount of people have been waiting for like a week and a half for this cat to pop, it's quite the popular event.

Shit.

This is one of my favorite comments ever. I'd not come across the digital root or hamming weight lol

Hell, that dark ritual is a $6 card. Now, keep in mind, you won't get face value selling to a resaler or a card shop (though the card shop may get you more value), so you'd want to sell them yourself if you want maximum value.

There's a good chance you have some bangers in there, and even in iffy condition the collection is probably worth money. How much really depends on what you have. If you're near a big enough city, I'd look into a reasonable sized card shop and see if they'd price things out. Alternatively, there are online places you can sell to, though I'm not sure how that works (last I knew Planet Fireball wasn't a horrible place).

Which one?

This too - my sister went directly through her optometrist for ordering and care instructions.

Ooof, that stinks. I wasn't aware of how restrictive it might be, but I figured the availability in the early aughts would be a good sign of their availability now ๐Ÿ˜…

In retrospect, they may have been more expensive? But she had like 4 color sets floating around for a while, so they can't have been outlandish (she was in high school and worked minimum wage at the time - even with my parents' insurance it was around $20 a pair of normal contacts). She did usually keep a pair or two of regular, though, because they could shift while wearing them and it was distracting for your vision to suddenly tint lol

Wish these actually had sauce. Instead, they've added shit on top of already heavily redacted documents to make it even more difficult to determine which specific file is listed to back their claims.

I hate this fucking timeline.

My sister ran them for years when she was in school, they're no different from standard contacts and can even be done in any contact prescription to actually provide vision correction (which is why she had contacts in the first place). Iirc they were the same price as regular contacts and exactly the same care instructions.

I've been thrilled with my 32" curved display I picked up a year or two ago (so much so I bought another for use at work). Both a professional work flow and personal gaming are wonderful on them.

The only issue is the rare older game not supporting the size directly (though many have mods that patch in the support, if I want it).

It looks awesome, but I think it's more real estate than I'd want ๐Ÿ˜…

That's pretty nifty!

I'd like some sauce, but it sounds awesome!

I panicked, as I read it as 2 eggs, not eggos - MUCH better this way.

Posted earlier, it's a year old and is a Japanese space craft launch

Despite several people stepping in the puddles, they never ripple or are anything short of absolutely smooth. Moreso, they do not match the reflections of the people who are actively passing them.
This is far from an unaltered video - it's either entirely AI, or heavily modified as such.

My girlfriend had a guy who is still known as "Bobby no show" - 6 date attempts and still, nobody knows what the guy looks like irl.

We find it a hilarious story nowadays (though I imagine frustrating as hell in the moment lol)

Nothing happens, because this is AI

I like the idea! My most recent sci fi choices have ended up rather lengthy (The Expanse books are hefty, and Expiditionary Force is turning into a mountain of books), but I got in early enough in The Bobiverse books they're not insurmountable, and I enjoyed the overall brevity of the Of Men and Dragons series (and the author is also on Imgur!).

I'm almost caught up with Expiditionary Force, though, and I'll be looking for something to fill time - this might be what I'm looking for!

The internet suggests alt code 8253 on Windows - no clue about mobile options. I'm not at my PC right now to verify, though.

If you're unfamiliar with alt codes, you need a 10-key section on your keyboard. In a text entry box, hold the alt key and type the code (8253 in this case), then release the alt key. This inserts the character where your cursor is.

I put all of 15 minutes into resident evil 7 before I walked away, just with a monitor in a well lit room in broad daylight with funny shows on. I didn't even hit a jump scare - the ambiance was just too fucking creepy for me to handle lol

Am I having a goddamned stroke, or was the fact Netflix was acquiring because of direct backing from the Saudis and Kushner completely forgotten...? Like sure, Larry is a fucking snake, but he doesn't have anywhere close to controlling power. Was Paramount *not* the safe choice?

Missouri has, since the early aughts, regularly voted close to 50/50 spread (something like 45/55 or similar), but has been a "republican bastion" because of districting.

That said, when the majority of voters in the state vote for something that contradicts the republican views, the repubs get pissy and try to strip rights from the collective.

This one scares me. It's got wording that will scare the stupid ones into voting "yes", without realizing they won't ever be able to do it again.

Unfortunately, unlike a hot pocket, it's just mildly warm in the center....

The Social Security Administration explicitly tells you to NOT do that.
