I have frequently not been on boats. Time travel has much to answer for, not least of which is Alexander the Great taking the field at Gaugamela to Cheap Trick’s “I Want You To Want Me.”
Give up multiple standard deviations of intelligence in return for standard deviations of height, obviously

The problem with calling out Protestantism for heresy is that it just tends to accuse the accuser of the same. I’m (probably mis-) remembering a Martin Luther line about casting down one pope in Rome, only to see new popes over every dung heap in Germany
I *think* it’s the follow up to the “believing the small lies to be able to believe the big ones” bit
We are analog creatures living in a digital world. Things we can touch ( even if we don’t actually y’know, *touch* them) often resonate more than the same thing we can’t touch. See also: books vs kindles.

When it comes to tree work, every tree and piece of equipment should be considered a potential widow maker, lol. I know exactly 0 arborists who have not had at least one major injury in the course of their careers.
Someone missed “produce” and a 9…
Nope, misread it. The Berzy brothers were violent knights during the Albigensian crusade who were captured and publicly executed by Raymond of Toulouse
I’m not too sure myself, but I think it’s comparing figures like the mountain and the hound from game of thrones to fratricidal siblings like you’d see just about anywhere: Merovingian Francia, Norman England, all the Byzantines, etc.
@CodyBurkett, this is the typical birdwatching experience, right?
Eyyy, it’s the Ypsi water tower! Clearly the leftist-est of everything.
Yeah, but this map is pre 1867. It may have been true for tsarist Russia, but today’s attitude isn’t super relevant
Right side:1: Spanish Empire (Hapsburg ruling family, heirs of Holy Roman Empire)2: Russian Empire (heirs of HRE via Catherine the Great (unsure, don’t quote me on this))3: Ottoman Empire (I think(?); took over Sultanate of Rum (Rome))4: Christianity (probably better defined as Catholic and Orthodox, but there’s an increasingly strong argument that Protestants have fully gone apostate/heretical, so calling them Christians is becoming more of a stretch…)
Left side first:1: Classical (for whatever definition of classical you need) Roman Empire2: (Eastern/Byzantine) Rome at its max3: Holy Roman Empire4: Fascist Italian Roman Empire5: European Union

#19 Ok, I’ve got the APA 7th manual. Does a dream count as an unpublished manuscript (10.8.70) or an audiovisual work (10.12)? Possibly an interview (8.7) or personal communication (8.9)? Honestly, just work something out at present it with confidence. Only thing is you’ll probably need a title for the dream.
I work part time at a grocery store. When on register, I’m always very tempted to lick my fingers to open the produce bags to wrap (potentially) leaky items. If you don’t break eye contact, you can establish dominance over the customer, which is necessary like 85% of the time.
#37 also features Moonic of a Down! Scatman in the style of SoaD. I was wracking my brain trying to think why I knew the music.
Wouldn’t a westerngoth be more historically accurately called a Visigoth?
#47 I’m partial to a nice vinho verde myself.
8-9 is kidney stones. For me, anyway. And from what I hear, for most folks.
#48 team third thing!
