I used to be bitter. But I got better.

Sure. Pls explain how Israel got to be what it is today.

Well I'm not sure what it is we're understanding. How do we know that the current political climate in Israel is the result of brain washing and indoctrination? The country has had a free press throughout all these crises. Israelis are free to travel abroad and do so very frequently. It's a well educated nation. So how are they not collectively responsible for the genocide?

Why do I keep reading these excuses on here for people who willfully and actively support a genocide? "They're brain washed, so we must have understanding..." An adult doing this is complicit and should be viewed and judged as such, period.

So yeah, a budoir is a dedicated place where the lady of the house can pout in piece. 2

I've seen the term budoir thrown around on here lately. In case ypu don't know what a budoir actually is here's the definition from wikipeda:

A boudoir (/bu ˈdwɑːr) boo-DWAR; (French: [budwaʁ] ) is a lady’s private sitting room or salon in a furnished residence, usually between the dining room and the bedroom, but can also refer to a lady’s private bedroom.

The term derives from the French bouder (to sulk or pout) or adjective boudeur (sulking)—the room was originally a space to withdraw to. 1

We're as close to bonobos, who solve most conflicts through orgies instead of violence.

You said it sista. It's traumatic consequences for the collective psyche, inherited from the previous generations, working their way around history. The same function as a personal trauma, but on a large scale. However, as an individual you may be so lucky as to have the opportunity to see all these incredible treasures that offer such food for thought in a curious mind. I'm personally really happy for that.

This is true. I visited Neues Museum in Berlin and it was astounding how many amazing things there were, across time and continents. The juxtaposition, cultures side by side, the ability to have an overview - it's a unique advantage in understanding culture as a universal human expression. My privilege was apparent, and at the same time I was so grateful for this abundance being made available to me. It's not black and white.

And the Taliban were also indirectly created by the dominant Western nation of its time. Muslims have ruled the country of those Buddhist carvings since the 7:th century, but they only got defaced when the extremists took power. The remnants of the Mujahideen that the CIA created.

Valid point, but those Egyptians were mainly selling the mummies to Europeans who would grind them into the soil as fertilizer or actually eat them for "medicinal" effect. The domestic market for grave robbed mummies was limited.

I've never really believed in some big conspiracy of evil men sitting somewhere, arbitrarily deciding how to make the world a worse place one small thing at a time. Poison in the water, brain smog on tv. But since these new captions appeared I'm not so sure anymore.
