What meds and dose are you taking.
For body to adapt, over a year in my case. A strict diet can help reduce symptoms. Also eat handful of Brazil nuts a day, contain selenium
Problem had been going on for years. No one picked it up. A TT is a last resort. Taking meds for life is a pain and it takes time after op
Total thyroidectomy. Mine was removed due to hashis, I was very ill towards the end. All sorts of side effects. Thyroid was very enlarged.
That’s 3 to 4 hours.
You need T3 bloods done. T4 and TSH tell only part of the story. Also vitamins D B calcium etc.
Not easy to medicate with hashis, you go from hyper to hypo, anywhere in between If you feel so unwell a TT may be your only option.
2/2 1 hour after 3/4 hours before meds. Change dose from morning to evening may help. Try different brand of meds, Made a huge diff for me
If this is you Blood test T3 T4. You may have issue converting T4 to T3. Also check vit levels and no food or drink apart from water 1/2
Parathyroid is the size of grain of rice. Your mum had her thyroid removed if on thyroxine. If she’s doing good, great. Not all are so lucky
