...stare into the terror rectangle and watch society collapse in real time.

Furry stuff is toon logic, it doesn't have to explain shit.

They never decided that Nazi Germany needed to be stopped over moral concerns.
It was literally just all of the imperial land grabs against their neighbors and allies.
So far the US is only *directly* going after Iran. Iran has so few allies that no one's going to raise a fuss.
If the Cheeto in Chief actually goes after Greenland, I have to assume that everyone has their hand hovering over the button, though.

He is literally the embodiment of that comic of a dude kitting up like a nazi saying "I just hate for it to come to this, but you've driven me to be like this."

But there are some *really rich people* that sank a lot of time and effort into manipulating the masses into focusing on LGBT people as the one and only problem instead of paying attention to the bullshit that Israel, Russia, and China have been doing for decades.
It's *really* important that we respect their efforts to inflame conservatives and send the world into a fascist spiral rather than fixing anything.
Please, won't someone think of all the fascists' and billionaires' hard work?

...why are they even still there to make those decisions 30 years later?

#1 - If you flip a jeep on the job, you're probably driving recklessly, and are going to at least get written up.
If you flip a 40 ton piece of equipment, many things have failed, and everyone on the job site is getting reviewed, while several new and oddly specific safety regulations are going to be created.

Unfortunately, copyright laws were always intended solely for the benefit of massive corporations that have lawyers on staff to punish people with them.
The legal system has still not caught up to the idea that the average person can make content that will be seen around the world. Sadly, at this rate there's almost no incentive to fix that. Despite the rapid growth of the independent creator economy, no one is interested in extending legal assistance to small creators. Not enough money in it.

Almost like ICE has been selling people into slavery abroad all year - on top of us continuing to use prisoners as slave labor.
We may have abolished chatel slavery, but the USA hasn't gone a day without profiting from every kind of forced labor it can get away with.

Right? We've at least had a 2-3 year break where we could believe things would improve Going straight from the tail of lockdown to the collapse of America? I'd rather walk into traffic.

"He has to live with his abusive Aunt and Uncle every summer to refresh his protection against Voldemort because they're still family so of course they love him" really should have made it obvious, but the whole "the girls' dorm kicks out boys, but the boys' dorm doesn't care" had always been right there, and should have been a clue...

I don't want "buy a Senator" money - just "comfortable middle class existence" money.
That does mean being some amount of rich in this day and age - where 59% of people are struggling to pay for housing - but there are still levels of rich, and I'd never aim anywhere near the top.

I love leadership that takes responsibility for the actions that happen under their chain of command, even as unintended results of orders with good intentions.
Wish we had any that could be bothered to see their job as a duty instead of the spineless bitches we have... Even the heads that don't have any power are worthless in that regard...

The Democratic Leadership is managing a tentative coalition of people trying so hard not to splinter that they can't risk achieving anything that meaningfully helps anyone on the off chance it might offend a part of its support base and weaken them.
The Republican Leadership are a bunch of grifters actively delivering on Conservative extremist goals to keep stirring up enough hate and fear to hold their power by sheer violence.
There are no "values" or "morals" behind either. Just power grabs.

If you can find a way to censor something like that enough to post it, I'll be impressed.

You mean someone finally pointed out that their model of letting people run thousands of dollars of computation for free to create things almost no one actually wants to watch - let alone watch ads for the privilege of watching - wasn't actually a sustainable business model?
Who would have thought? These tech bros are really making huge discoveries. /s

Congratulations on the tits!
Sorry you have to explain them before you're ready to. I hope it gets easier from there.

On one hand, it's horrible to call for the leveling of an entire nation for the shitty actions of their worst - it's like wanting America to burn just because of the MAGAs.
On the other... There is an understandable frustration that comes with seeing such horrible people continue to blindly support such a hateful regime, and by extension, there's a relatable yearning to see such a place glassed for the sake of improving the average morality of the world.
Either one, at this point...

Wow, you mean all those middle managers and frat boy CEOs that have gone all in on AI somehow don't actually know how to improve productivity or measure whether a tool is actually improving their business?
It's almost like the world of capital is being run by incompetent jocks that thought math was "nerd stuff" and couldn't be bothered with it.

Y'know, after the 879th round of "retaliatory" attacks on Palestinians, you'd think everyone would be able to just admit that they just *want* to kill them and take their lands instead of just blaming it on "attacks" that are *always* proven to be something else.

We had that chance. They slow-walked it so they could see if people would see the light and *not* choose the convicted felon, and rapist, who was being brought for charges of inciting and insurrection and selling classified documents. They needed the slam dunk that even his diehard fans wouldn't keep supporting someone so vile once the truth was out there before breaking him in court.
Turns out that the people don't want justice. So instead we get just ICE...

Also people that see others as separated into "good people" and "bad people" by inherent nature - instead of as a product of their choices and circumstances - and thus can't imagine how two "good people" could have a "bad person" as a child.
And of course, having a "bad" nature that you can't change isn't actually to be accepted - just a trial for the righteous to overcome. By punishing them for existing the way they were destined to be.
What I'm saying is: conservatism is cruel and stupid.

> It's why stings (which invent crime and punish people for being so desperate to go along with them) are accepted as "catching" criminals, where actual convicted felons and rapists are still treated as the morally perfect gods of Conservatives.
It's also why they get had so often. "Oh, those horrible things won't happen to *me* - they're only pointed at *bad people* and I'm clearly a good person!"
Such an unexamined life must be a whimsical and surprising way to live...

Now, this is a sensible point of view that treats your fellow humans with dignity and the understanding that circumstance is influential a a person's actions.
That doesn't fit with the Conservative world, where people are static creatures enacting the will of a higher power and Criminal is just what someone is born to be, rather than a just a function of having done crimes. >

row-BOO-tay GILL-lee-men (there's more phonetically correct pronunciation guides, but that's accurate enough)
It's been in a few official trailers, so at this point it's got enough canonical sources.
Will never stop the community from meme-ing about it.
