If I’m using Imgur, there’s something important I should be doing instead. I’m using Imgur.

It's behind the ball

We don't negotiate with terraceds

Hey, sorry about the slow reply, I haven't been logging into Imgur too much lately. Sure, by all means use this image! I'd appreciate an edit credit, but I wouldn't be upset if you didn't include that. Also, I'll note that Tolkien explicitly denounced allegory, which means that pipe-weed is just as legitimately interpreted as representing cannabis as anything else.

It’s a still frame of Galadriel from the Ralph Bakshi LotR animated film, originally showing Frodo’s hand offering her the Ring. I edited it to replace the Ring with a joint, because Frodo’s a pretty cool dude.

I agree, but I think the way we strip them of their power is by pointing out their bullshit to people who might vote one way, but whose minds can still see reason.

Ooooh, excellent video. Well, yeah, there are a lot of folks out there like that. I guess it’s wise to try to figure out who you’re talking to. If it’s someone like that, maybe don’t try to play games with them. But if it’s a different kind of person on the right, they might be swayed by your words, however subtly, and they might come to reject this kind of fingers-in-ears alt-righty. Again, it’s all a spectrum.

But the thing is, there's a whole spectrum of attitudes even just within the right wing. Some of them are are as hard-headed as all that, but some of them are a bit less far gone, and can be persuaded by reason. These are the people we hope to reach. And as for the others, I think over time, and in the right climate, they can be persuaded to loosen their grip on their absurdity.

Imagine being in that race with her. What kind of morale blow that would be, to see one of your competitors do that…

It looks kinda like the art style typical of a traditional ukiyo-e wood print.

“C'est un cadeau.” “Quoi?” “Un cadeau.” “What?” “It’s a present.” “Oh, un cadeau.” “Oui, oui. Allons-y!” “What?” “Let's go.” “Oh. On y va.”

How dare you minimize his contributions to the advancement of pyrology. And even more so, how dare you bring up his addictions.

It wasn’t even Hdronk, it was Ug-gurgu, who worked for Hdronk, and whose innovations were constantly being stolen because he was a Neanderthal living among Cro-Magnons. Justice for Ug-gurgu!

Yeah that one isn’t really sad as much as it is just emotionally impactful. Very effectively so, too. I love that episode.
