Not in Ireland, I asked them that specifically, they informed that as long as it can get a signal, even if you don't use, licence required
But even if you don't watch anything and just use it for gaming, you have to pay the license fee
So I've heard, maybe if we got decent programming then I'd buy it, only watch RTE for the gaa finals...
You also only need a working TV to have to get it, having no TV aerial or dish don't matter....
