First to lose a war? USA lost Vietnam, Lost Afghanistan as the Taliban came back into power. Lost Iraq. Sure they killed Hussein but they failed help establish a stable democratic government. Why are we surprised Iran is any different?

My nan and I shared a Christmas birthday and were very close. The first time she met me was when I came home from the hospital my parents had put me under the tree for her for her to find. When she was in palliative care I gave her a card saying I might have been her gift that first Christmas but she'd been my gift every day since. Point is don't leave anything you need to say unsaid and carry their wisdom and memories forward. If you do they are never truly gone. You both are in my prayers.

They've priced themselves out of the market. Fast food needs to be cheap and convenient. It is no longer cheap however when 2 meals are $25 - $30 here. If I'm at that price point there are better options.
this isn't as uncommon as you think. There is a lot of special use cases where the hardware or software it runs has no replacement or upgrade path so these antiques just get left in service until they die.

There needs to be an age cap on holding office. Any of us with relatives that age are trying to decide if they can still drive or need some kind of assisted living. They shouldn't be running a country. Both of them are to old and it shows.
Maggie has been gone the better part of a decade now but her catnip mouse still next to the TV. When you love something that doesn't change just because they have passed on and that little mouse reminds me how lucky I was to have her in my life.
