As the person conducting technical interviews in my company I find it annoying to receive them. (In Murica. I'm not Murican)
Rice at chinese restaurants has to be bland (cooke without salt) to be eated with the dishes which are very salty usually.

איך נפלת משמיים הילל בן שחר. It's hilel ben shachar. Which means hillel son of dawn. It's actually unclear to whom it refers. (1/?)
It's not my favorite, but it's really good in these situations. I prefer not to fake meat usually. (But my SO likes it)
