Those '4D chess' people are exhausting. Anything successful Trump does on a chess board would be equivalent to that novice that played a grandmaster and confused him by his moves being so dumb that there must be some strategy to it but then the master finds out it's just a bad chess player.
Agreed, but even ignoring all the reasons for going in and lack thereof, he's letting politics drive military decisions. The proper way to lead this is simply direct the military to make the strait safe for travel and deal with it until the military says it's safe to travel the strait. Now these ships won't sail, and they won't be insured if they do sail the strait. Don't choice to go in, but not even that isn't being managed correctly.
Plus Trump made the situation so so much worse. If he had said wait, let the Navy and the rest cook for a bit and find the Iranian mining forces, then maybe the would have gone well and oil trade wouldn't be has bad. If you were a company and invested your profit into company growth, pension, pay, offering paid time off, etc that was literally all tax deductible. I still remember sophomore year when the world history teacher cover continents on day 1, she asked the class where they lived as a bonus on the worksheet and 70% said "South America". Their logic was, we live in America, and this is The South.
They need to be reminded that capitalism's longevity is contingent on the ethics of those in power. Ethical capitalism can be indefinite. I'll defer and buy that stinking a drug boat in international waters can be considered defense of the US. The problem is, no authorization from congress, no or at least unknown verification the boats are in fact carrying drugs, and no ability or effort m to seize the drugs or capture survivors.
When I was a kid in Florida, our house inward doors, but the doors and windows all have a painted wood frame around them to give you somewhere to nail wood boards too for hurricanes. A smart person gets a set of boards sized for the windows and door upon moving in and they just live in the garage until hurricane prep time.
As a military member, I use my WIC checks at the commissary. Also I've been in 14 years, and yes I still qualify for WIC.
