The local property tax rate should be significantly higher on vacation properties and second homes. I live in California, and thanks to prop 13, it doesn’t matter if you own one home or 20, they’re all assessed the same

Plus it’s ‘different’ gas that burns a bit cleaner, especially on the summer version. Costs more to refine
If this is CA, it doesn’t matter. I’ve never seen so much littering on beaches with no consequences or even asking the public not to. Unfortunately, littering is mostly accepted here.

It’s also ironic that this community blames just 700 people for so many of this country’s problems. What about the millions of millionaires?
Always remember to roll off the throttle before applying the brake. Many new riders try to brake with the throttle it still engaged
California did the same in the 70’s, now my landlord pays hardly any taxes on the 13 properties he owns, yet collects market rent.

Prop 13 in California has really ruined it for renters. We pay market value while homeowners have rent control.
Rent control for homeowners while the rest of us pay market rate for our rental units. It should be illegal.
