I thought you meant stats in general, not just government stats :)

I get what you mean.

Is your “mostly inaccurate” a stat as well? Because it does feel inaccurate. I agree war stats are bad but not NBA stats for example

Underrated comment right here, folks. Come and upvote!

What? You’re saying a major corporation is squeezing a profit out of a sponge?

Lol oh man, thanks for putting that effort. You think it’s a bot? It feels crazy to post a broken link so repeatedly. Let alone the misinfo.

It’s just a joke, folks.

Looks more like a mass grave from a genocide. I like metal and terminator as much as the next guy but I find this distasteful.

That’s great. There’s nothing like trying to understand something through study, particularly as complex and rich as the Bible.

What about the verse do you want to highlight in relationship to this thread?

Turek (more argumentative) If u have a Kindle and dm me your email I would be glad to send u whichever one u choose. It’s been a pleasure!

Mere Christianity - CS Lewis (more personal) The reason for God - Keller (more modern reasoning); I don’t have enough faith to be an Atheist

Anywhoo - I enjoyed our chat but it’s hard to have it in Imgur. Any of these three books would be like continuing to talk with me:

but you can’t go from nothing to something without a cause and that cause has to be timeless, space less and immaterial to be “pre” Big Bang

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

something is right. Why is empathy good and why do I have to be empathetic? Who said? I don’t think you followed the thread in the Big Bang

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Get it. Empathy is indeed a way to discover the moral code. There is a difference between HOW you know something is right and WHY you know

Thanks, I agree with you. Where does your/our “standard of rightness” come from that makes us think those things are bad?

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

How come it’s not? tell me more. Btw, really appreciate you’re taking the time here. I wish it was over beer or coffee :)

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Lol I appreciate the candor. Let’s start with morality. Is there a right or wrong? Or easier, is it ok for Nazis/Putin to invade and kill?

And fascinating to read Collin’s take (the director of the human genome project) on DNA and God.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Who/what banged the Big Bang? :) I find that fascinating. Hard to find a space-less, time-less and immaterial cause without thinking of God.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Without a god it’s hard to justify an absolute moral order. There has to be a standard beyond a society (eg Nazi Germany) we can appeal to.

Got it! Fair, I agree in terms of some of the stories. But not in terms of the message and call to action, what to do, Etc, wouldn’t u say?

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

We live in a fallen (Adam/Eve), world where evil has a say and folks make poor choices. The idea is that the afterlife is solid though :)

The love of God includes giving folks free will. If u love someone u would want them to love u back out of will, not bc they are programmed.
