I don't think he's wrong, he's just misreading the situation. To achieve change, you have to be reasonable with those that you want changed.
UK Law is changed in accordance with precident, donating it to charity does not tell the courts to change It just comes up as fine not paid.
I think it'd be easier to prove his point if he paid the fine whilst protesting. Proves he's not using it as a smokescreen to avoid paying
A shame really. If he's genuinely trying to fight what he believes is injustice, he's going about it the wrong way entirely.
He wasn't jailed, he was fined £800. It's also the same person's twitter above, Count Dankula.
I was taught from a young age that money isn't paying for items or a service, you're paying for someone else's time. Waste money, waste time

Unpopular opinion, but the way I see helping the homeless is by giving them a place to work & sleep, and get clothes, food, and paid.

The problem people have isn't that people are smart, it's that they're arrogant about being smart. Being educated is a responsibility.
