Given the administration coming it, it's entirely justifiably prudent to remove his only child from the clutches of people who have put children in cages to die, are working to set up literal concentration camps, and were gleeful at the prospect of thousands of people dying from covid as long as they were on the other side. I have no doubt Biden would have left his son without a pardon had Harris won, or even if a sane republican administration coming in.
Biden would have to be insane to leave his son at the mercy of the Feds when Trump takes over. This was an entirely prudent decision to save a politically persecuted family member from an administration that put children in cages and is working on setting up literal concentration camps.
