I feel insane right now. This is ridiculous.
I worked in a memory care unit for about 4 years and damn if this doesn’t remind me a whole lot of some of the interactions I had with those people. Even the way his eyes are glossed over. He is not well. Not bad enough, mind you… but not well. lol
I’m 42, but I watch a lot of true crime. That’s the only reason I knew.

Thanks for the advice. He was diagnosed last year. The hardest part has been trying to allow him to be a kid and enjoy the things that every other kid gets to without having his sugar shoot to 500. It’s hard on everyone. Heartbreaking when he just wants a popsicle or something and I have to tell him to drink water or exercise before I can say yes. Surprisingly, the lows have been less of a challenge than the highs although the lows scare me more.
How old is your son? Mine just turned 9 and it’s been a challenge.
My son has Lantus and still has highs like that and we don’t know why.
