Yep... These comments are pretty disgusting, too. Imgur is full of performative empathy. It's pretty sad.
Or, she could have made him something? Or set aside a single slice of pizza for him? Also, you have no standing to comment on my personality, when you're jumping to character assassination...
Forcing him to work late to provide, and caring so little about his wellbeing that you don't save him a slice of pizza (but still feed the rest of two other families) sure sounds like neglect to me.
It literally said he worked late and had to make himself a salad because the two families ate all the food. That kind of tells the whole story, doesn't it?
That's great, but there are still people affected by the holocaust not getting those reparations. Holocaust survivor syndrome is an inherited condition, and the children and grandchildren received no such reparations. If that sounds like bullshit, that's kind of my point. Should we give reparations to the grandchildren and great grandchildren of slaves? If yes, then the same should happen for the children and grand children of Holocaust survivors.
And where does that money come from? The taxed citizens who, in many of those countries, can barely make ends meet right now. If it came from billionaires, who were actually exploiting people, then great, but we all know that will never happen...
I'm sorry, but reparations are bullshit. If we're going to give "victims of slavery" reparations for something they didn't experience, using money from people who didn't commit acts of slavery, then we should be doing reparations for the Holocaust first, as that was much, much more recent, and the damage from that is way more relevant, with all the people dealing with holocaust survivor syndrome. We should also be doing reparations for even more recent crimes, like the Gaza genocide.
At some point these companies are going to realize that funding these politicians was a bad idea, because they're going to lose all of their cheap labor. At BEST (for the billionaires), this will accelerate a revolution. At worst, it'll end in the loss of all their assets (and lives) as hungry people eat the rich. But since they have no sense of their own mortality, they won't see that coming until the guillotine drops.
That's good and all, but that man was probably exhausted. I feel like if the family was REALLY good, someone would have set aside food for the dad, who was working his ass off so they could eat... I say this as a disabled person who was regularly starved by my family as a teen, because no one thought to save food for me when I was laid up in bed in pain. Abuse isn't good, but this story also reeks of apathy for the dad's situation.
Without a warrant. It's part of Ring's TOS. If you use their hardware, you're agreeing to let law enforcement view the footage. A lot of indoor security cameras do this too. This is why you should never use corporate security systems, and stick to open source stuff if you can.
Flock also teamed up with Ring, so now police have access to all your Ring footage too.
This would be a great move. We need to do things to disrupt large corporations like this. If everyone chooses to stop spending so much money, the whole system will collapse, and the billionaires may actually side with the population (temporarily).
You still think the democratic party is on your side? Cause they're not. They've consistently proven that in recent times. It's just a show to keep everyone placated. Just look at other recent votes... Just enough democrats will vote with the Republicans. This wouldn't be getting called to a vote if the Republicans didn't already have the votes they need whipped and ready to go. That's literally how this system works behind the scenes.
Except it does. He explicitly says so in interviews, and the end of Mistborn was the start of the Christian Bible to a T.
No doubt! I'm a guy, and my hair was almost that long at one point. Just know that some of us appreciate the work that goes into it, and find it beautiful regardless!
The irony is that by attacking them, we validated their investment in that very same missile program. If we never attacked, it's very likely the population would have overthrown the regime on their own... These attacks obviously had nothing to do with helping the people of Iran, and lacked any military sense. I could come up with a better strategy in my sleep... And I don't think I'm being hyperbolic.
People love to gloss over the fact that we were inspecting their nuclear refinement facilities RANDOMLY up to FOUR TIMES PER DAY. They weren't making weapons there. Bombing them was utterly pointless, and a massive waste of resources. How much did Midnight Hammer cost, from planning to execution? A billion dollars? More?
Oh, yes, excellent performance too. Can't forget that >_>
She has gorgeous hair. Dang.
Also, these cameras are almost totally unsecured, and the ones that are, are incredibly easy to hack. But most you can just find and connect to online. Also, this system partnered with Ring, so now they have your Ring footage...
... And the only way to fix this is to resolve the class war. Which will, ironically, solve all of the other issues too.
His sudden death right now is kind of ironic, with all the health nonsense I've seen him pushing in YouTube ads...
I think this happens more than people realize, and it's why no one should fall into the trap of hating the other side. They're just people. Most of them can be reasoned with - they've just been raised and manipulated into a dangerous set of beliefs. But as Daryl Davis has demonstrated, you can reason with even the most unreasonable people out there. Just keep showing them hard evidence without condescention.
A "weakened nation" he says, causing a humanitarian crisis by depriving them of electricity... Going to be thousands dying in hospitals soon because they have no power.
I love Mistborn. A truly great fantasy, except (no spoilers) for the fact that he HAS to shoe-horn Christian creation theory into every one of his works, at the expense of the story making sense in the end...
Honestly, I think it's survivorship bias. They think they'll be the next one to win his favor and get rich. They don't consider what will happen if things go poorly because "That will never happen to ME." I find Americans have some of the worst survivorship bias of any people in the world, and very often affects their perception of politics and finance. For example, almost every American believes they're not poor - they're just a down-on-their-luck millionaire.
Unlikely to pass? Lol. This vote, like almost every other, is whipped. It'll most likely pass with exactly enough votes. If you don't know what a political whip is, please Google it.
What scares me is that most of the population will fall for it. Most people don't spend enough time learning about key events like this, and they'll buy into it - republican, democrat, or whatever. Americans (and people in general, really) are foolish and easily manipulated. People constantly being distracted from the class war being the best example.
This. We need way more of this. Saying stuff is great, but showing it WITH SOURCES is better - bonus points if he humiliates himself on fox news or the like. People won't believe what you say, but watching him lie and bullshit in sourced video is way more convincing.
