I teach English to adults in Germany and I've had similar discussions as the post on numerous occasions.
I guess it depends on which part of Germany it is.

Worse. It comes pre-mixed! Seems someone mixed Coke and Fanta and it was such a hit that now you even get different brands selling the mix

If that's the case, good luck to anyone trying to pickpocket. Or stand too close. And gods be with any other pet in that carriage...

I've never really been a fan of candy or anything sweet, really. But when I got sober I started getting INSANE sugar cravings! Was quite the surprise. It was probably my body missing all those fast, simple sugars. Sugar free sodas were my waistline's saviour.
I'm finally back to normal: no real sugar cravings, very little snacking in general.

Yep. Cleaning it off of the ceiling... Not so much fun

"Blood is thicker than water." Yeah, all that means to me now is that it's more difficult to clean up

The governments in Africa are corrupt as fuck. We're sold the idea that the money goes to the communities but, in truth, almost no money makes it there. You're looking at around a maximum of 3%. We're all expected to feel warm and fuzzy about this needless killing because "the asshole trophy hunters are akshually doing good",but the justification is a lie

Hahaha! Yes, I was horribly confused when a German friend pointed the brush and said he'd just seen an "eagle" run in there...

Ahahahahaha! Brilliant. I know I'll be singing that from now on as well...

Fucking hell... That's going in the idea box! With your permission, of course

I have this exact one! Definitely not for dogs, though. Made of felt, the stuffing would see the light of day in a matter of seconds...

Also! Very normal to sign the lease and have to wait 3 months to move in. Also need to give 3 months' notice to your old landlord and have him sign it so you can prove you've given notice in order to be considered for the new place. You better hope and pray the date of your notice and the day of your move are close to each other... We spent 2 months in an airbnb.

Not only foreigners. My fiancé is German and he also confirmed it's the norm. I'm just lucky he could install the kitchen himself
Were supposed to wait 3 months for the kitchen delivery, COVID turned it into 6. Two plate stove on the kitchen floor, doing dishes in the bathroom sink... Good times!

*First time dating someone with SIMILAR childhood trauma

Maybe the joy isn't about the fact that they suffered, but rather the by-products: being able to relate to each other, to understand that some people have the weirdest triggers and being compassionate about overcoming them together.
Coming from someone that didn't have an idyllic childhood, first time dating a man who also has childhood trauma. Healthiest relationship I've ever been in.
