I think it's actually a Kong feeder toy, but one that's meant for a *much* smaller dog. They're that same red, and same shape, and you usually put like treats or paste in the hollow middle.

He also famously didn't even have an email account, not even an official government one. He was like 80+ years old and lived out in the middle of Alaska (he actually died partially because of how out of touch with...basically everything he was; he died in a small plane crash flying to an Alaskan hunting lodge).

Yes they goddamn should!

Definitely getting more of a Henry Winkler vibe from him than Epstein. But I can kinda see it.

threatening to just send ICE in to man the security checkpoints at airports instead of the (less and less staffed each day) TSA if they don't pass his version of the funding bill, which would be just all kinds of both dangerous and stupid, but that's par for the course for him.

TSA agents are quitting in droves because they've been without pay since basically the start of the year because of DHS funding being held up until the GOP actually allows literally any amount of oversight (or until some idiots on the dem side cave in and pass the current budget, whichever comes first). Normally ICE would also be without pay during something like this, but they rammed through a separate funding bill for them specifically last year, so they're still getting paid. So he's /1

Reminder that the *total* amount of US aid to Ukraine (not just military equipment, but everything we've given them) since they were invaded amounts to roughly $50 billion dollars, over five years. Meanwhile, the current war in Iran has cost an estimated $25 billion dollars in less than three *weeks*, and the military just yesterday said they were planning to ask congress for another $200 billion to be earmarked for it.

...fucking hell, I need to visit Brazil.

That is *exactly* the sign I would put up if I had secretly trained the local seagulls to steal people's food as soon as they bought it so they would have to buy more.

Except most of those women were doing it because that was the only way to get out of an abusive relationship. Meanwhile she killed her husband because she was having an affair, and wanted to marry the new guy without having to pay alimony, and was also in a ton of debt so took out a bunch of life insurance claims on him without telling him before poisoning him, to kill two birds with one stone.

The generation that wanted $15 an hour isn't this one. I entered the workforce in 200-goddamn-9 and people were already pushing for that amount. It's *way* below what you currently need as a survivable minimum wage.

Gonna guess it's eating some kind of parasite, like a tapeworm or something. Ibis reaching into its butt might be uncomfortable, but probably a lot less than the level of uncomfortable that whatever it's eating is causing the deer.

A really bad time. TFG has already cut a ton of military aid for no real reason other than "Zelenskyy didn't ask me nicely enough", so you can bet he'll use this as an excuse to cut back even more. And on top of that, he's been easing sanctions on Russian oil because of the clusterfuck at Hormuz, giving Putin a huge economic boost at the same time.

The very same!

He'll, if he somehow outlives me, I give everyone on Imgur blanket permission to dig me up and tell me...

deal as much economic damage as they can (since they know they can't win a straight fight) to force negotiations, and it gets even worse, since most missile defenses in the area aren't really around hotels, or refineries, or shipping lanes; they're protecting military bases and government buildings.

It's so, so much cheaper to build a missile (or a drone) that just has to go a certain distance and then explode roughly where you need it than to build missile defenses. Like 5-10x less per shot on average. Also way easier to hide and move around. The dome defenses have legit done some impressive work, but they're gonna run out of counter-ordinance *way* before Iran runs out of cheap missiles to huck at them. Add in that Iran's government have specifically stated they're aiming to /1

My guess is he's planning to "only" invade their islands in the strait. He just bragged about a heavy bombing run on their defensive positions there. Probably thinks if he can take them, he can force the strait to reopen, and also keep claiming he didn't *technically* send troops to (mainland) Iran. Which *also* probably won't work.

Dollars. People always leave out that the idiot didn't just say 50,000, she said "$50,000", which is so much worse.

Same thing he did for the prison system. He put a former inmate who had spent years running a community program that rehabilitates other former inmates in charge of running the Department of Corrections. Both of them are the exact kind of person you put in charge to get actual, substantial change, and I love seeing it.

That was most likely only built and erected in the first place in like 1963 as pushback against civil rights.

Also the fact that coal plants actually produce *more* nuclear waste than nuclear plants, and release it directly into the air.

Is this a reference to The Wrong Half, the greatest stock photo ever created?!

Except it wasn't shot down. It's even stupider, two of them hit each other in friendly airspace and one crashed.

Israel: "we're not 'destroying' Gaza, stop exaggerating!"

Also Israel: "Surrender or we'll destroy your country like we destroyed Gaza."

Goddamn do I hate the just *insultingly* blatant hypocrisy fascists always use...

Also, just voted you back up to 1. Not sure who downvoted your response, but wasn't me.

that argument is trying to do a "both sides" thing. So I apologize for getting fired up.

I'm glad you voted for her. It's just become a knee-jerk reaction for me to scream at people with your *exact* talking points, because the vast, vast majority of them I've come across are those who used those points as their excuse for staying home. I've run into way too many people with the argument "Harris saying she won't stop sending Israel small arms is exactly as bad as TFG literally saying 'Let Netenyahu finish them off' so I didn't vote at all", so I tend to just assume anyone making /1
